Pelikan 4001 Ink Bottle (Brilliant Black - 62.5 ML) 329144

This is one of the best black inks that I've come across for fountain pens. It is dark as well as well-behaved unlike most blacks inks which tend to be dark grey rather than true black. This ink is a genuine black and it has a shine or luster that makes it stand out. It also does not feather or bleed on most papers. The only other black ink available that compares with it is J Herbin Perle Noir but that ink is a more expensive. Sheaffer Skrip black is another black ink that is dark but its quality has been inconsistent with some batches tending to feather and bleed on even good paper. With Pelikan Brilliant Black, one can't go wrong; it is a black ink that is both dark as well as consistently well-behaved.

The shade is amazing. Flow is decent.

Ink is good and dark but is smudging on good paper also…On the same paper, waterman ink is working perfectly. At this cost I wont advise to use this ink

Is this waterproof ink ? Does this ink clogged the fountain pen, ink flow passage ? Share only two star initially used this ink. The fountain pen Ink characteristics should be Water proof and not clogged the fountain pen ink flow. Regarding thease charters , value of Ink would clarify.
