The media could not be loaded.  I wonder if the gold is 24k on the cables wish I could test that theory out, 4 usb ports that are only 2.0 this allowed me to use 2 computers downstairs to one large screen and allowed me to switch between them on the fly with same keyboard and mouse can add 2 more devices to the mix, quality seems good haven't really tried a better KVM switcher, but I have heard of better on the market that can switch more than 2.Just plug and play for me, but for just 2 computers this is rather expensive, I know these are supposed to be pricey but 2 computers for 53 quid and this is only display port 1.2. I personally think these old display versions for 2 to 1 shouldn't cost more than 20 quid tops. Want to note the port is not hdmi it is a display port connection, but you probably knew that and can use a display port hdmi adapter.Not that impressed with using 2 computers with one screen that technology has been out for donkey's years. so don't understand why they are so expensive when a bit more money you can get 3 or 4 computers switcher to 1 screen or more usb ports better display port connection.I do think this is good product though, it is quality for what you get.

using this on my desk at home, which my wife and I both share. We tend to take it in turns at working from home and going into the office. With this we can hook up our laptops and use one keyboard and one monitor, it's pretty useful. We also have a home laptop connected all the time, so we can use this when needed too. All very handy. Easy to set up and worked straightaway. Recommended.

This KVM is pretty much plug and play Howver i dropped a star only because you need DP connections.This means that even a display port to hdmi cable wont work and signal convertors dont seem to work. DP to DP only.Each computer gets a usb cable and a display port cable. Then a display port cable goes to the monitor, if your monitor has a usb port you can use this to also power the unit, or use another usb port on one of the computers or a usb plug.On the front is 4 usb ports they even work well with extention cables.There is 3 LEDS, one to indicate power and the other 2 to indicate which computer is in use.The switch on the front is a quick toggle and it instantly changes computer.So quick an easy to get working and seems much more reliable than other units ive tried so far. IF you use Display port and need a KVM, This is for you.

Excellent kit, good if you need to swap between 2 PCs regularly. I have a work pc and a personal one, and this saves the effort of bending down every single day to swap all my cables. One thing to note is that this will not do more than 60Hz on up to 4k so if you have a 140hz monitor you may not get all your frames. I also wish it had a few more USB slots, but it can easily be solved with a USB extension.

I ended up using this for my desktop PC and portable laptop, and it works perfectly. I have my monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected to this device. It's connected to my computer via a single USB cable, and also connects to my laptop via a single USB cable.I can very easily use my computer, and when needed, easily just attach the cable to my laptop, press the switch button, and hey presto, everything moves over with ease.The downsides of this device are that the USB ports are only USB2.0, which means you can't really attach hard drives to this without having super slow transfer speeds. There's only one monitor output which is a bit annoying. However, if like me you have one big super wide monitor and a secondary monitor, then it's not an issue at all. I use my laptop's screen as a secondary monitor for my laptop, and the smaller computer monitor is permanently attached to my computer.Overall, I think this is a decent little budget switch that makes it easy to alternative between using your 2 computers. Would recommend!
