Review: Bliss comfort. - First of all I never owned a pair of merrel shoes before but I have been using other known brands in the past. I'm so happy I found them on desertcart. These merrel walking shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have tried in a very long time. They are very durable and not too heavy shoe. Very well made pair of shoes and sturdy for those long walks. After a day on my feet my feet don't ache or become painful through the day wearing them. The materials of the shoe it self are made of high quality and well put together. These shoes are just snug on your feet but they do take some time to break in. Looking for a sturdy well built walking shoe try these out they are worth every penny.

**Q: how is the grip on these please especially in wet weather, woodland slated areas ect**
A: Hi Kez, I like these shoes/boots very much and would recommend them. They do have 2 failings as far as I can see - the first is the worst laces in the world! They constantly come undone unless you double knot them. Why they use them escapes me. Secondly, the hard plastic soles, while hardwearing, provide very poor grip on wet smooth surfaces. If cycling with them on with even damp soles, they slip very badly. Wet slated areas i would avoid with these on.

A: They are the Moab VENT not the Moab Goretex and are designed for hot arid conditions, an designed to be extremely breathable, not water resistant in any way.

**Q: Which merrell walking shoe should i buy if i need a size 10 uk wide (4e) fit?**
A: 10.5,  Amazon are good with returns if you need it changed. I found the fit small got 10.5 originally then went up to 11. This may be a pattern across the range. Shoes one of the hardest things to buy online.

**Q: Are the insoles removable.**
A: Yes they are, my 3rd pair of these , brilliant every day for a year each pair on a building site, after normal wear, Two pairs of merrell sprint blast, before them , but wouldn’t recommend the leather waterproof Moab, not the same fit

These merrel walking shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have tried in a very long time. They are very durable and not too heavy shoe. Very well made pair of shoes and sturdy for those long walks. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 6 Months in... Still Going Strong

I demand a lot from my footwear. I wear the same shoes all day, every day and they get heavy use over a good mixture of terrain. I usually go through a pair of walking shoes in his price range every 4-6 months by which point, the soles are worn and the shoes are falling apart... but not my MOABs. They're still in great condition after the usual abuse. I would highly recommend these for a light but tough walking shoe, though there is a but... But... like many others here, I am slightly disappointed by the lack of water resistance. My original Merrell MOABs were brilliant at keeping your feet dry but I think this time they went too hard on the 'breathable' material, I have had other light, breathable walking shoes that offered more water resistance than these do. Hopefully Merrell will some day provide this quality with increased water resistance at the same price point but who knows. tl;dr, If you want a sturdy, comfortable, lightweight shoe with good grip then you can't go wrong with these but if you find yourself walking through a meadow in the fresh morning dew, you may find yourself wishing you'd chosen something else.
