Fantastic Four [DVD] [2015]

next time you deliver a 4k ultra blu ray make sure it has no security tag.very disappointed as i had to remove this myself albeit without damaging the case and media.

I can see why this won't be everyone's favourite movie as it doesn't offer what a lot of other superhero movies do, but I really can't see why it has such a bad reputation. There isn't loads of big action sequences or as much use of special powers as some movies like Avengers or X-men, but I didn't feel like it was trying to compete with those. It's doing it's own thing and I loved the approach they took with it. It's much more about the storytelling of the character origins and the relationships between the characters. The acting was brilliant and I really felt interested in all the characters with good drama between them. And there's still plenty of beautiful visual effects and stunning cinematography and more than enough exciting scenes and action spectacle to entertain. Well at least there was for me.I love the two Chris Evans / Jessica Alba Fantastic Four movies aswell - the style is all about lighthearted fun. But I thoroughly enjoyed the darker more atmospheric tone they gave this movie - there is even an element of mild horror that creeps in every now and then, which might sound odd for this, but for me it worked brilliantly. And Doctor Doom, well what can I say, I know he's been changed from the original idea, but I thought he was awesome - probably my favourite scenes in the movie.What with all the criticism, I wasn't expecting to, but I genuinely loved this from start to finish and wished that more people did. Unfortunately, due to its dire reputation, I'm guessing there won't be a sequel. :(

Works well and arrived quickly

I watched this film not knowing what to expect after all the bad publicity, and was very pleasantly surprised and loved it. It is definitely based far more on the ultimate fantastic four universe, which is the best incarnation of the characters in my opinion.Much darker tones than other recent marvel films, and much more plot than some of the disappointing recent marvel films (in particular the Age of Ultron) which was a colossal disappointment in my eyes.Interesting plot, well paced lead up, and the actors played their roles well. Special effects were good and the design of the Thing was much better i.e. an emotive face. If you enjoy the Ultimate Fantastic Four comics , then I think you will enjoy this film. Completely disagree with the criticism and would love to have had a sequel.Don't listen to the critics, keep an open mind/ watch it and make your own decision - you might enjoy it as much as I did.

This re-start has been slated heavily by critics and reviewers alike......my expectations before watching it were indeed low,like all of the 'Marvel' releases on Blu-ray/DVD i just have to see it for myself, curiosity usually gets the better of me in truth.Young 'Reed Richards' (Owen Judge) has a vision, at school he is ridiculed by his fellow pupils and science teacher alike, exceptfor 'Ben' (Evan Hannemann) who is fascinated by 'Reed's' experiments in teleportation, the two become great friends and workon the project together.Seven years on 'Reed' (Miles Teller) along with 'Ben' (Jamie Bell) are ready to show the World what they have developed at ascience convention....though the demonstration worked it was dismissed as a magic trick by the judges, however 'Dr FranklinStorm' (Reg E Cathey) along with his adopted daughter 'Sue' (Kate Mara) had witnessed the demonstration, the Doctor was soimpressed he offers 'Reed' the chance to further develop the technology at his science-lab.What 'Dr Storm' had not disclosed was that another young inventor had been working on a similar project like 'Reed' for manyyears, working together they may well perfect it.Daughter 'Sue' and reluctant son 'Johnny' (Michael B. Jordan) (who only agree's to assist because he wants his car back) areassigned to help the two Science-Whizzes in there quest to perfect their vision.As the project becomes perfected the U.S Military take an interest in proceedings and want to use the technology themselveshowever 'Victor' and 'Reed' along with 'Johnny' and 'Reed'' friend want to try it out for themselves before they lose control ofthe invention.With 'Sue' as back-up in the Lab to enable their return the four take what seems the brief journey to another dimension, wheninvestigating the surroundings things turn hostile on the planet, they have to leave....quickly.'Victor' believed dead is left behind, the remaining three are exposed to the planets powerful elements much of which returnsto Earth with them which effects 'Sue' also when the capsule returns and fragments in the Lab.All have developed extraordinary changes to their metabolism, something the military are eager to exploit once the four havelearnt to handle the powers they now have.There is an element of blame toward 'Reed' especially from friend 'Ben' who has turned into a powerful and unrecognisablemonster (Thing) however the four will need to pull together if they are to prevent 'Victor' now simply calling himself 'Doom'who had not only survived but had developed extraordinarily superior power from destroying mankind itself.....The FantasticFour become a force.There are some decent Special-Effects along the way though in truth i much prefer the 2005 and indeed 2007 movies to thisone, there are far too many restarts with these super-hero movies and because this one doesn't really come together as itshould i suspect another re-start for this will be on the horizon.Most 'Marvel' - 'Super-Hero' fans will want to give this a go as did I ...... all i can really say is that it should have been so muchbetter than it's turned out to be.(I like the Special-Effects feast these film bring to the screen which is why i have awarded 3/5 instead of 2/5)(Basic Plot Outline in the review)Features -Powering Up : Superpowers of the Fantastic FourThe Quantum GatesPlanet ZeroThe ScoreConcept Art.

I had heard only negative feedback on this version of the FF and so waited over a year to see it when the Blu-ray was at a reduced price. I really enjoyed it. A different take on the story. My only complaint was it was too short! I could have sat through more.The extras are OK but a bit thin. Picture and sound are very good and a great Dolby Atmos soundtrack shines through.

This is my favourite version of this story. Great film, touch of darkness. Very good!

I was surprised with this DVD as I have the earlier ones from The Fantastic 4. Yet this is telling you how they got their powers with different actors. I was not disappointed it was very good.

alors il y avait, j'espère , de bonnes intentions à la réalisation de ce film, malheuresement c'est un echec ! un film de super heros avec des héros charismatiques comme les FF representé par des ados qui sont incapables de se mettre en avant leur perso ! même fatalis n'a aucunne présence !!seul plus la galette magnifiquement illustré !

Just as this film packing is OK but not attractive.Worst film ever they should let them go their home rather than being a jerk.
