Hi, Yes to your question, it depends on the size of your Timer of course but I'm using it with mains adapters for hard drives etc. and I'm impressed with it, i'll probably buy some more, individually switched with lights on each switch.

Once, the SWSRG62N would be destroyed by the surge. The point is that the surge goes no further - and all the equipment that you have plugged into the SWSRG62N is protected. Without a surge protected extension then your computer, TV or whatever you have connected would be damaged by the surge.

Nervous about purchasing a extension lead as read horror stories are masterplug a generally good and reliable company

Mine seems good and reasonably built I use mine for computers and network equipment so is on 24/7 hasent been a problem yet

Just checked packaging on a six way I've not used yet and if the surge protection operates to protect equipment it would still work as an adapter but not as a surge protector. If you register the adapter you are insured in case of damage to equipment of the surge protection does not work.
