Sylvania WiFi LED Smart A19 Light Bulb, 7.5W Efficient with Filament, for Alexa/Google Assistant, Energy Star, Clear, 2700K, Soft White - 1 Pack (75797)

This will work with Alexa but not directly. I found it to be a little strange that this had to be setup thru Sylvania's utility first and then it can be discovered by Alexa. The setup guide presented by the QR code doesn't exist. A Google search for setting up this bulb on Alexa does find a video that goes thru the steps. The first attempt for me failed, the utility was not able to find the bulb and it was in pairing mode. A second attempt was successful. After completing this, Alexa found the bulb very quickly, so that was a positive. It does work, but prepare for jumping thru some hoops.

This bulb has a great look and vivid colors. If you use the Sylvania app, this bulb has a broad and vivid color spectrum. Within the Alexa settings, you can use default colors. I wish there were a bright white because the default is warm white.What I like:- Within the Sylvania App you can set the bulb to music. Cool feature. Within the app, you can do automation around the outdoor temperature…. Interesting.- It connects to my Alexa with no problem and allows color and brightness changes.- A retro look that brings some pop to a roomWhat I don’t like:- Installation instructions from the side of the box go to a website without a video.Nice to know:- The bulb needs to be more intelligent to pick my 2.4 GHz. I name my 2.4 GHz and 5GHz WIFI networks the same. Most smart items have been able to work with this setup, but for this bulb, I had to put it on my guest network. This is not a significant issue, but just a heads-up.

I have the regular Sylvania Smart Bulbs in every bedroom in my house and in my dining room, and it ranks high amongst the best purchases I've ever made on Amazon (big statement). I have a clear glass chandelier-type light in my living room and I have been waiting a while for Sylvania to come out with a clear filament version of their smart bulbs to affix onto it. I ordered 3 of these Smart ST19 bulbs and they all arrived with the little glass rod broken inside (like another reviewer mentioned). The bulbs still works, but it looks... messy? What I was most disappointed about is the inability to change the warmth of the colored bulbs. I should have done more research; this is partly on me. But man, are these yellow. What I loved about the other smart bulbs is the ability to change the warmth depending on the time of day (cooler early evening - helps with seasonal affectiveness because it mimics daylight). Can't do that with this one. I will return and wait until they come out with another version.

Wanted outdoor smart bulbs so I could set automated routines and also change the colors to coincide with the holidays. I ordered 3 total of which two arrived with broken stems (the glass that holds the filament inside the bulb) which the filaments were left dangling inside the bulbs. They still worked and my light fixtures have the bulbs facing down so I figured I'd just keep them rather than keep playing Amazon roulette delivery game of betting if the new ones would also show up half broken. I was able to easily connect them through my wifi and setup an automated routine to turn on/off when it get dark and sun comes up. They change colors but they are not very bright and the white setting is very limited and is more of a deep orange candlelight which is fairly dim and no chance of these changing whiter. I do not plan on ordering new ones when these break and would not recommend using these for lighting meant to effectively illuminate a room or outside area. Very dim!

Great deal, easy set up with smart technology

This "Sylvania WiFi LED Smart ST19 RGBW Color and Amber Finish Filament Light Bulb" doesn't deserve any stars, but I am forced to give it at least one star. The first bulb that I ordered came with a broken filament. You can see in the attached close-up picture (with the blue ovals) that the holder for the filament is broken. You can also see that the rod holding the filament looks very fragile. I purchased a second one, hoping for a working product, but was disappointed again. From my observation, even with proper packing, the filament rod is subject to breakage even with a small impact to the outer shipping box.Showing a little more of the product title "Sylvania WiFi LED Smart ST19 RGBW Color and Amber Finish Filament Light Bulb, 7W Efficient, for Alexa...", I see the words "for Alexa". I was disappointed to find that it is not directly supported by Alexa, but instead you have to download another app to set it up and let Alexa talk to that app. I have enough apps on my phone and don't need another one taking up storage space. Maybe that's how the "smart device" world works, but I'll stick to devices with direct control from my Echo.

The bulbs do not connect via wifi or bluetooth. I have successfully connected several different brands of smart lights, light strips, etc. However, this brand, Sylvania, would not connect. Despite downloading both the manufacturer's apps (yes, there are two separate ones) the bulbs would not connect. Their instruction pamphlet inside the box has a QR code for a video -- leads to a dead website. The manufacturers website itself has no easy way to find any instructions or help and after 45 minutes of trying unsuccessfully to get these to pair I don't have it in me to search another 45 on their website for answers. Returning the items and will buy a different brand.

Spend 1 hours trying to connect to WiFi using Sylvania App and Smart Life app. No luck, dropping WiFi. Reset Lamp didn't help. Returned ang order Felt brand, 20sec and all works. Do not waste your time.
