Franklin TPQ109 Collins Thesaurus Compact Edition

A very good thesaurus greatly appreciated by my young teenage son keen to improve his English grades. Easy to use and compact design.

My spelling isn't the best and I still write with a pen so this little device is a must. Although it's listed and functions as a purfeklee (perfectly) capable thesaurus it does also work as a spellchecker. Just type in a word fonetikly (phonetically) and it comes back with the correct spelling, ivenchuli (eventually) bekos (because) it's a bit slow sometimes, but I still like it. It does other stuff too.

I’m delighted with this item, it’s ideal when one engages in crosswords or indeed for any purpose, and it’s so compact to carry, even on holidays. Excellent.

The first three words I tried on the Thesaurus: Oeuvre, Mellifluous and Diaphanous, drew a blank. So I'm not very impressed. I wish they had developed the Thesaurus more thoroughly instead of adding silly games which I'll never use - it was, after all, advertised as a Thesaurus. It does feel nice though. Shame.

Excellent product - a bit smaller than I expected but works well and is easy to operate. Purchased it for £13.95 which I thought was good value.

What sort of thesaurus can't find a definition for hotel, when its online equivalent has no problem? My old Oxford unit (which is now in ill health) found several, as you would expect. Really disappointed, the only positive is that the returns process is straightforward.
