Learning Resources Hot Dots Original Talking Pen

I bought this as a quick replacement pen as the one i received in the original box at Xmas didn't work but this one works perfectly. Just to note though if you find that the pen that comes with the hot dots books doesn't work contact the manufacturer and they will send out a free replacement pen.

Fantastic, accurate pen with the option to mute. The voices are great and the children have a lot of fun with it.

Bought this with some Jolly Phonics cards and have since bought other sets and Hot Dots sets too. I got this in a bid to encourage my little boy to read / spell but in a more interactive 'boy orientated' way. He loves using the pen and is very good at getting it on the dot exactly so that the correct response is given. Sometimes he enjoys 'tricking me' - partly just so he can hear the other responses the pen gives! The other reviewers are right that it is quite sensitive, but this doesn't stop my son from really enjoying using it. He's learnt that if it gives a negative rsponse just to check it again to see if it was he or then pen who was 'getting confused'! At 5 1/2 he happily uses it on his own and will call me if he's not sure about one of the cards. He loves the praise the pen gives with each correct answer and at under £3 as it is as I write this (I paid nmore than double) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this; I still recommend it at the price I paid too!

My kids loved the pen, and it was a bargain. It was easy to use and I would recommend it .

Got it as a replacment for a mouse wand and it's works perfectly with our books.

very american in it's speech. Our three year old did not understand 'right on' and 'cool' when she first used it. We translated to tell her that this meant the answer was correct and she was pleased!

Excellent product for developing your child's educational needs.Value is a little on the high side for what you get, but does exactly the same thing as Leapfrog for a cheaper price than what they market their products at.My daughter loves doing this with someone or buy herself.
