Has posts on each end with the two commonly used thread sizes so the arm can be attached to a light stand very simply and then positioned easily in many ways. The clips need to be done up tightly but that's not an issue and the end result is a compact, yet versatile, lighting arm. Or mic boom. Or iPhone stand. Potentially even a flash or camera mount (your stand will need to be VERY sturdy though as this has no counterweight options.I guess the fact that it is an extendable arm with a hinge in the middle is its main selling point, just don't expect to hang heavy things off it - that isn't the aim of this gadget.

I love Manfrotto stuff, its solidly built and rock solid in use.This is my second camera arm, i have the manfrotto magic arm which works great.Now i needed a rostrum camera arm so purchased this arm as its quite a but cheaper.It is working great along with a clamp and camera umbrella bracket, its holding a heavy DSLR camera looking straight down while being clamped to the office desk, the angles can easily be adjusted.So for me it fills my requirements perfectly

Well this device is essential to my needs it holds my mouth operating quadstick at my mouth attached to my hospital bed at home.The only thing about bad about this is the wing nut that tighten can become worn threads and won't tighten any more but replacement nuts or screws fix it goodI couldn't be happier with my purchase. The Manfrotto 196AB-2 Single Arm 2 Section has quickly become an essential tool in my gaming setup, allowing me to push the boundaries.

Not as strong or sturdy as the friction arms but excellent for holding flags etc in place. Lock down pretty well despite the joints being made of plastic.

Construction is a little flimsier than expected but holds up my dedo lights no problem, and lets me get them up in the rafters which is an enormous help when filming and possible to do so.Remember to always saftey chain any equipment that you rig over head especially if they are above people or fragile fruniture or water!

This is my third one! They are amazing and will support any compact camera or small DSLR. Easy to use and a product I have comer to trust.

This is the only arm that has held up after using three other brands. Good quality when used with the superclamp. The clamp connector has a flat that locks from twisting (using superclamp set screw) allowing for greater flexibility in mounting location (others can loosen/unscrew if mounted in some positions). This is the one you want if you need it to last.

Ottimo braccio snodabile. Se devo dire un difetto è che devi comprarti quasi sicuramente un set dicodoli per attaccarci pinze o altri oggetti. Infatti arriva solo con i codoli grossi, cioè quelli da stativi. Per il resto le plastiche sembrano robuste e devo dire che tiene un bel peso.
