Excellent manual grinder
Robust construction with a glass grounds container. Easy to use and clean and a great range of grounds size with consistent grind quality. Don't expect to use this for large quantities of coffee grounds especially if grinding for espresso but that is not what this is designed to do.Excellent to take away and have freshly ground coffee whenever you need.

Unfortunately it broke in less than one month. I like it otherwise.
Unfortunately the mill has broken in under one month from the date of purchase. It sounds as if the gears have failed. I probably use the grinder twice a day, except weekends, where it gets used perhaps four times a day (about sixty times in total as I have been away some of the time). The grinder is easy to use, and easy to change the grind size settings. I find it easy to add coffee beans and easy to remove the ground coffee beans. To take the conical burr section out is not easy. It’s a mixture of pushing/ pulling the locking bolt (nut or whatever it is) up, making sure the handle doesn’t rotate and turning the locking nut. Do not push or pull with much force. As for grinding the coffee.... it takes a lot of turning the handle to get enough coffee for one cup. Don’t leave doing this until you need to make coffee. I normally grind enough for a couple of cups of coffee. I leave the unused ground coffee in the bottom container.

Decent grind but disappointing lifespan
I used this for around a year and it was able to produce a decent grind. I found that a setting of 1.5-5 worked well in my Gaggia Baby machine. The gearing in the head allowed fast grinding compared to other hand grinders. However, it was that gearing that was its downfall. After a while, the handle started binding and eventually, the handle started crunching as the gears failed to engage. I opened the top up and found that the construction was pretty poor, with only the moulded plastic holding the two shafts with the mitre gears in place. As this plastic eventually wore away, the gears were unable to mesh and no amount of adjustment could compensate for the wear. I feel that maybe if they used some metal bushings/bearings between that plastic and the shafts it would have lasted a lot longer. It's interesting they supplied a shim to compensate for the burr wear when clearly it's not the burrs that will fail first in this product.

Does the job consistently. Very good.
I've been using it for 2 days now. Lot of experiments with espresso. The wheel is a good guide, refer to it and adjust to your taste. Equipment used:1. Delonghi Dedica EC685R2. .Bottomless portafilter3. Standard portafilter.4. Coffee from CafeDirect.5. Temperature medium.6. Water, bottled still water.7. Scale, blackmirror scale. For espresso, I found out that turning the grinder scale to 1.5 works best for me. 1 is best for Arabic coffee, very fine. the grind was consistent across many trials. With the right tampering pressure (trial and error) it gives a lovely espresso.Easy to hold. The top cover turn right to open. This is because (I think) when holding it with your left arm and grinding, your left arm tend to pull to the left so you cannot open it accidently as opposed if it open to the left (left arm on the top cover). My son is left handed and had no problem using it.The bottom glass container is good and sturdy but i wish it was stronger as it feels it may fall of but it never did (I had the plastic grinder).Capacity 100g more than enough for 2 people. 5.5 double shots for 18g portafilter and 7.14 double shots for standard 14g portafilter.Quicker to grind than my basic manual grinder.Easy to take apart, store, clean etc and compact enough to transport. You have to experiment with tampering and roast to get the perfect shot (expect to waste a lot of coffee tasting and experimenting - not unique, this is also true of electric ones as well).Overall I am very pleased with it and it does the job until I can afford an electric one which can grind consistently for espresso.Recommended.

Easy to use, but a little inaccurate
The burr seems to be a lot looser than I would like, leading to a less even grind than I expected. Also, the dial settings seem to give a bigger ground than I would expect against their recommended brew methods.I don’t know whether mine is faulty, or this is what they are all like? It is difficult to tell!

Like it
Great grinder but handle with care any moderate falling can cause a damage with some tools and therefore have to buy spear tools

Produit décevant !!!!
Achat effectué en 2020 et malgré une utilisation moindre, l’engrenage est déjà mort !!!Je ne recommande pas ce produit car vu le prix d’achat , je ne m’attendais pas à ce que ça lâche aussi vite!

Happy so far
Very happy with the consistency of the grind size. Having the bushings well spaced out on the shaft really helps with consistency on more coarse grinds. The adjustment is easy and clearly visible on the outside of the body. I did add the 2 calibration shims to get the grind size down to espresso level. The big drawback is the time required to grind so fine for espresso but I would expect that with any hand grinder. The price is a little steep but still significantly cheaper than the Lido.

Waiting for service
This is really a beautiful grinding machine. Packaging & delivery all OK.The top of the Handground is easily loosened (with possible damage if falling) if you try to remove the burr according to the video on the website of the producer. But in daily use I expect it to be no problem. But it is impossible to remove the burr and its base for cleaning. Spend hours trying! That's why I give 2 stars for the moment, for I cannot use it.The producer wil send me a burr removal tool (got a really quick answer from them by mail), so after that I hope to have a better review.

Simplicity and ease. This is a second one that I purchased.
This is my second handground and it was to replace the First. Likes: easy to select 8 steps for different grind sizes. Grind size has good consistency. The capacity to grind enough coffee, for a large French press or (litre) cold brew extraction.Dislikes: gear ratio could be better. Internal mechanism for gears could be stronger. The reason I've had to replace my first handground, because the gears chewed out.
