Spigen Rugged Armor Case Compatible with iPhone SE / 5S / 5 Case - Matte black

I wanted a robust case for an iPhone SE that I could use with a screen protector. I also wanted a case that would fit with most headphone jacks and even Aux cables. The case is one piece of rubbery-feeling plastic. I purchased the black version, which is Matt black, other than two inset panels on the back that have a carbon fibre look. There are two small inset lines, one just above the mute switch and one in line with the home button. As far as I can see, these are just a design feature. There is a fairly discreet inset 'Spigen' logo and name on the back cover. The space for the earphone jack should fit most earphones. It fits a narrow AUX cable I use, but not a broader cable designed for AV equipment. Most people will link by Bluetooth or wifi, so this may not matter to you. The cover fitted on easily, and comes back off with no difficulty. It feels good in my hand. There's no ridging, but it doesn't feel slippy. I used the phone to send a couple of messages in a light rain shower, and it still felt secure in my hand. I don't find it bulky, and I like the slightly more solid feeling with the case on. It's not as sleek as the iPhone itself, however, so if you want a truly minimalist cover, this might not be the right case for you. In terms of protection, it certainly looks as if it should protect the phone from scuffs and bumps. I'm reasonably optimistic that, combined with a screen protector, it would protect the phone from an inadvertent drop. Update: I accidently dropped the iPhone, in its case, from a height of about a metre and a half, on to a tiled floor, and it survivied with no visible damage. The phone also had a screen protector attached, so that may have helped, but the case certainly appeared to do its job.

I have owned Spigen rugged armour for Samsung Galaxy s6, s7 edge and now I have one for my beautiful, compact and powerful iPhone SE. I keep coming back to the rugged armour series by spigen becuaee frankly, they provide the best combination of protection and style. iPhone SE is a premium compact smartphone. It feels great without a case and so if you’re going to use a case you have to find one which feel as premium as the phone. Spigens rugged armour fits the iPhone SE as if it was actually a part of the handset itself. It’s fit is so precise you’ll find yourself marvelling at the way it complements the handset. It looks especially great with the space gray colour handset. The black, flexible plastic of the case merges with the black front glass of the space gray iPhone and looks seamless. The matte finish, the precision cut outs and the detail overall. The chamfered edges of the case add a subtle sophistication to the case and the case overall manages to fit the phone without feeling bulky. I’ve taken some photos to give you and idea of what I mean. I’ve only had his case for 2 hours. But I already know that I’m going to be keeping this case for a very long time. Overall I’m impressed with spigens rugged armour for iPhone se. Highly recommended for anyone who loves the aesthetic of the iPhone SE.

Since the launch of the small iPhone SE a couple of weeks ago, I've been testing a range of cases and covers made for iPhone's most polarising smartphone. I'd like to share with you my views on the Spigen Rugged Armor case. First, allow me to give you a bit of context. When choosing a case for my smartphones, I am always looking for the best combination of style, protection, comfort and value for money. I am personally a huge fan of thin covers (ideally transparent) which offer a satisfying level of protection (including the screen as I dislike screen protectors) without impacting the design of the phone too much, and ideally improve the customer experience (for instance by improving the grip). All the buttons, connectors and the camera (including the flash) should work as well as without the case. Now, back to the SPIGEN Rugged Armor case. I LIKED + great grip + good design with discrete Spigen logo + good cut outs + acceptable additional bulk + excellent level protection, including the volume and power buttons and the screen via raised case on the front + the silent switch is easily accessible + easy to both fit your iPhone SE in and remove it I WISHED - nothing's wrong with this case... but it'd be good if Spigen offered a range of colour options, including clear CONCLUSION I've always enjoyed the quality of the Spigen cases. Once again, Spigen is offering here a high level of protection in a compelling package which looks smart and adds a minimum bulk to your beloved iPhone SE. -I hope you will find my review and my photo coverage helpful- TIP + gamers will love the Spigen 'Rugged Armor' as they'll still enjoy their game's soundtrack while comfortably holding the case (despite covering the speaker grill)

Spigen's build is always good, and this case has great grip (doesn't slide off tables easily), is smooth, stylish and light as well as unobtrusive. I loved how easily the case slipped on and off, which made it really easy for me to clean the phone whenever I wanted. I don't usually drop my phone, but there were moments when I held my breath in horror as my phone became the victim of carelessness, but with time I learned to trust in Spigen's ability to protect my phone. The only issue I have with this case, is that when I brought it back home to Asia, where temperatures can get pretty high, the phone case began to expand after a few months and now my phone doesn't fit as snugly as before anymore, with a slight bit of room (~1mm) to shake about. It's not a big issue and wouldn't pose a problem if you live in the UK or in any other cold countries, but I probably will get another Spigen case because I have a fear that my phone will just slip out of the case one day.

This is certainly a sleek and durable phone case, which is tactile and strong. PROS _____ 1. Looks great and sophisticated. 2. Great value for money! 3. Very tactile and nice to touch/hold this case. 4. Lightweight and flexible, which is unexpected as it is strong enough to protect your phone too. 5. Case absorbs minor impacts, like drops onto carpet. CONS _____ 1. Slight trim issue over buttons at side of case, making edge a bit uneven. 2. Attracts dust and fluff. CONCLUSIONS ----------------- A nice, tough phone case for the iPhone 5s. Added to this - this case is SLICK, it looks great and much more expensive than the actual price and we all LOVE a bargain. The edge over the side buttons has a slight finishing issue, so it's not smooth but given the price and the rest of the beauty of this case, you can forgive this as it's minor. I would definitely recommend this phone case at a heartbeat!!!

I have been using this case for over a month and I have to admit I wasn't expecting it to be that good for the price it is set at. Firstly, this case causes no problems when using the phone. All the buttons work perfectly and the charger and headphones ports are still accessible. This case is comfortable to use. Secondly, this case really does what it states, it protects the phone. I dropped my phone a couple of times by accident and not even a scratch. Thirdly, the phone case looks fine but the back could have something more at the back but I guess that's my personal opinion. Overall, this product deliveres everything it states to deliver and I totally recommend buying this if you need a good phone protector case.

This is an excellent case: very stylish (particularly the carbon-fibre style panels) and masculine. It looks great on the phone. It also offers great protection: the lip around the front of the phone stands out just enough to protect the screen well without getting in the way of your fingers as you use the phone. The fit is perfect and the cutaways and buttons are all spot on, with a good feel to the power and volume buttons. It doesn't add too much bulk but looks like it will still really help in case of dropping the phone, particularly given the air cushion corners. Recommended.

I was a little apprehensive buying this case; I've previously had some bad experiences with other case manufacturers (cases not fitting, horrifying toxic-smelling plastic odours and poor build quality), but this case is actually really good. It seems to provide plenty of protection, although admittedly the phone hasn't been dropped much. It looks great, and matches the aesthetic of the black iPhone 5 perfectly. It's relatively non-slip, and it feels good in your hand. In summary, if I was going to recommend an iPhone 5 case on a budget, I'd definitely suggest this one.

Escribo esta opinión después de 1 año de uso: Caja/embalaje: Cuando te llega ves que la presentacion de la caja es propia de una funda Premium como las que venden en la Apple Store. Vamos que no viene en una bolsa de plástico o una caja de cartón a secas. Por lo tanto para hacer un regalo no quedas mal. Acabados: 1.- la funda tiene un excelente acabado en toda la superficie interior y exterior del caucho, no se aprecia ninguna imperfección. Las dos franjas posteriores simulando fibra de carbono están muy conseguidas. La apariencia es de calidad. Encaje:, El iPhone encaja como un guante y estéticamente queda espectacular. Los botones de volumen y power se accionan sin sensaciones extrañas. Como si no hubiera funda. La funda queda bien cogida y eso es de agradecer porque, como sabeis, algunas fundas de caucho tienden a dejar escapar alguna esquina del teléfono de vez en cuando. No aumenta casi nada el tamaño del teléfono. Proteccion: combinada con un cristal templado se podría decir que el teléfono es prácticamente indestructible. Conclusión : es una funda de un aspecto de excelente calidad. No hace aumentar el tamaño del teléfono. Relación calidad precio se podría decir que es excelente 10 sobre 10.

iphone SEのデザインを気に入っていたため、裸で使用していたが、落下によるカメラ破損と、裸デザインの見飽きから購入。 この商品を選んだ理由は、丈夫さとデザインの良さを感じたから。 使用してみると、もう外せなくなってしまった。 理由は質感が素晴らしく、実用性も高いため。 質感は、主な部分が艶消しブラック。ただし光沢がゼロなわけではなく、ちょうどiphone SEの裸に似ていて、きめ細かく僅かな光沢が見られる。 そして強化ゴムとセラミックの中間のような独特の材質が、手のひらや指に柔らかい摩擦を生んでくれて、程よい滑り止めになっている。 さらに背面のカーボン調が、ただ美しい。 これまで印刷しただけのようなカーボン調のケースしか見たことがなかったため、本当に驚いている。 カーボンらしい細かい反射が、見ていて飽きない。 丈夫さについては、商品説明をご参考にして頂いた方が適切に伝わると思う。 充電器差込口やスピーカー、スイッチ操作も使いやすく、個人的に最高の逸品であると思う。 値段に騙されました。とてもいい意味で。
