Useless device, does not fit UK TV's without buying hmdI male/female extension lead. Google play/store does not support EZcast on Galaxy 5 smart phone. Ezcast has withdrawn its download for Windows PC in addition, mucked up all PC settings. A complete waste of time and money, just a piece of junk not to be touched.

Bought from Maplin, and after a little scratching of the head, got to grips with it, it's able to mirror my phone/tablet and is much more usable than the chromecast or some of the cheap knock off mirror sticks you can get. Follow the instructions and everything seems to work how it's explained, the streaming software takes a bit of getting used to but really not an issue.

Clunky and badly written software - but works well after a fashion.
I cannot believe the 5* reviews. "Follow the instructions" - which instructions... what steps? Nothing about this has been straightforward. It is clunky and a step back into a difficult past with PC software.I have got it working however - it took an hour of frustration. It has "buffered" once while playing a downloaded YouiTube video but apart from that the video quality was very good and the sound was in sync. However, this device does not mirror the PC screen as our Belkin Screencast does; instead, it mirrors only via its own software selection - its version of the web and so on. You can mirror video and music but I cannot see anywhere that I can show a simple image file / photograph. This is probably "me" but there we are - I thought I was quite a techie with computer hardware and software. But no.I'll go back to Maplin tomorrow to see if they can help. I'm sure they will be bale to as in general I like that company a great deal. I thought I would post this review as a kind of warning for those tempted... expect frustration.

"It worked for me!"
I've read the other reviews on here and also bought my Omnicast from Mapline but I can't really fault this product.Ok, I agree that the software is a bit clunky (and I've already got an upgrade notification for a new download) but I've sent pics from my phone to my TV and watched a few of my videos too. I've also got iplayer to work.My only moan would be that if I go too far from the dongle the Wi-Fi seems to drop out a bit but that's easily solved by not going to so far away. It works for me.

Wish I could find the receipt. Wasted loads of time messing around with this and it doesn't actually mirror anything. I wanted to be able to see exactly what's on my laptop on my tv screen like a wireless lead. Oh no. This stupid dongle makes you do everything through it's own stupid software so everything is complicated with zero extra benefit. Eg watching a film you have to open up the EXcast for watching films, then through that open up the file etc. Plus I couldn't access the internet whilst it was connected to my laptop as you couldn't wifi both the internet and the dongle at the same time. Absolutely rubbish
