?Do I need to change my domestic single zone thermostat and control box in order to run 2 ac units on rv

I am not sure which thermostat you currently have but if you have the single zone thermostat then yes you would need to replace if you are going to have two AC units using the same thermostat. Yes We had to purchase a control kit our other dometic wasn't compatible. Wasn't in the description on Amazon but on the Dometic website.
