Lifeplan High Strength Brewers Yeast 300mg 500 Tablets

Note firstly that I am not a dog or a cat, it surprised me when researching brewers yeast that the pet market lap it up for flea protection but I'm human and mid 20's, fairly active and I follow the best diet to stay healthy that I can. I've been dipping more into the deeper areas of nutrition and looking for areas I let myself down in. What I really mean is I bought a great book on nutrition and was shocked at chart upon chart of the top performing foods that I don't eat.Brewers yeast was something I had never heard of and was surprised that beer didn't really count. On the charts I read brewers yeast had the highest (by equal weight) value of chromium, folic acid, pyridoxine, pantothenic acid, riboflavin, niacin and thiamine. Each one, a vital nutrient that contributes to overall health and like all nutrients, deficiencies are best avoided.I ordered this as my first step into the world of brewers yeast. It's important to be reasonable with your expectations of some supplements. Rather than focus on what you 'feel' after taking them, sometimes it's better to think that you are reducing a future deficiency rather than creating an noticeable effect. It claims in the description to help sleep. I've never had a problem with sleeping, only a problem getting up but I can to some degree say that I feel the quality of sleep has improved in the sense that I feel a tad less tired in the morning and more refreshed and it may be debatable but I feel like I have more get up and go energy. Maybe all those B Vitamins cause this.The tablets I find are easy to take and aren't disgusting smelling or tasting and they don't produce horrid burps either like fish oil supplements can. I'm taking only two a day, suggestions can be a little more, they recommend 6 in 3 doses of 2 per day, but 2 a day seems to me safe and sensible. The price is good and I rate it 5 stars based on the value of the product and also on the research of what brewers yeast can do for you. you'll have to try it for yourself but I hope this gives you an insight into it before you buy.

I love the taste of these.. I use brewers yeast to support my thyroid.i have noticed I am sleeping so much better and my hair is in better condition...i take 2 tabs twice daily

Really good price - had difficulty finding it in the local chemists, so was pleased to be able to buy on line at such a good price. Had heard it was a good supplement to take before going abroad - deters mozzies! Did have a mozzie free holiday!!

Not recommended. The latest tablets seem to have very little brewers yeast in them. They are not high strength. Too much 'filler' instead.
