Do they work on dr marten boots?

We have different lacing techniques so you can customize how your shoes fit to your liking, from providing an extra tight fit to an extra loose fit and everything in between. By clasping the laces together in different configurations, you can achieve a truly personalized and comfortable shoe.

Keep in mind that you can also combine lacing styles! For example, you can tie the first pairs of Hickies in a loose lacing style to allow for an easy slip-in and the rest in a regular or tight lacing style to ensure a proper fit.

Can these be used on ankle boots?

I am sure they can. There are fewer tying methods for loops than the normal eyelets. Hickies website runs videos about their various  tying methods.

Can these be put into shoes with very small lace holes? I bought a different brand but they are too thick to go through the holes.

Hi,

They can, yes! HICKIES are made from a material called Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE), which is a flexible rubber with springy elasticity. Once you pass the threading tip of the lace through the eyelet, don't be afraid to pull it all the way through. It will stretch and not lose its original shape ;)

We also have HICKIES KIDS, which are 110mm long and contain only 10 laces. (Adult ones have 14 laces in a pack, enough for a pair of shoes)
