Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered (PS4)

Its just a great game

After investing in a PS4 during Covid I've been working my way steadily through the CoD series. This is the latest one for me. If you've played any of the others then you know what to expect, and that's why we love them so much. Excellent gameplay, authentic weapons, lots of bad guys.

Great game, goat of shooters during its time. But sadly showing its age now, with graphics and sound effects lacking. Furthermore, multiplayer lobbies are quite empty as players have moved to newer cod games. Still, it's good for the price, worth playing if you haven't played before.

It's a classic. It may be the best shooter of all time. I've been playing FPS games since Doom came out on the PC and what can I say apart from: buy it. Just, buy it. Even if you're a Battlefield fan, just do yourself a favour and buy it. For what it is (a fast paced, action-packed, rollercoaster ride of a game) it's fantastic. The price is near enough a giveaway. The visuals are beautiful, the sound is crisp and the gameplay is ....well, lush (yes, I cringed writing that too). But seriously, the whole game is just a love letter to FPS fans. Multiplayer is as good as ever and as you can see, i've got nothing bad to say. Sure, there could have been more maps, but even so, it's a near-perfect FPS. Enjoy!

Amazing game. Well it's call of duty init so it's bound to be. Call of duty don't need no reviews the brand speaks for itself. I buy call of duty for the campaign cuz quite frankly the gamers on the multi player are in another league. I think they cheat. That's my excuse I'm sticking to it.

So like all the other reviews who complained that the game was too expensive, i completely agree. £35 is VERY expensive for a remaster, and it probably should be less than £25, hence the 3 stars, i feel personally that's a fair (The stars, not the price). After continually coming back and debated buying the game, i finally caved, due to the reviews not here, but on IGN.The Story: It's not completely the same, they have added certain things that make it slightly more immersive. But nothing will ever beat Gaz telling you that your fruit killing skills are remarkable. IMO the best campaign cod has to offer.The Graphics:The graphics are pretty impressive, not incredible, but the lighting is done really well, and everything looks a lot sharper. I believe IGN did a Video on the Graphics comparison. It's actually pretty impressive.I haven't tried the Multiplayer yet, but will update if i think there's something noticeable to mention. Playlists are a good concept though, and bring a lot of replay value.I would definitely recommend if you have the spare money to drop, and if you are a fan of the original. If you have £40 and want a long game with a repayable story, go for something like fallout 4, GTA5 or The witcher. If you want a Decent FPS, with a good story and graphics and like Old style Call of duty Multiplayer, buy this. You probably won't be disappointed. (No Promises though!)

I didn't know what to expect. I've not been online gaming for several years now since MW3 on PS3, so when I saw this was being re-released & updated I relented finally & went for it. I've not been disappointed, aside from the fact that you have to pay to play multiplayer now. I whacked £20 into the wallet & got started. After many severe whoopings i'm getting back into the groove with my M60, & enjoying the odd snipe. This is as good as it gets. Unfortunately my once cat-like reflexes have not stood the test of time as well as this game has. Roll on MW2...again!
