Used the remote for the first time at the weekend, once I got the hang of connecting the camera to the remote it was a breeze to use, it was the first time of using a gopro and the remote made it very easy to operate. I liked the fact i could see what mode I was in, that I could change back and forth from video to photos, it's also really helpful that the display is clear, I had it strapped to my handlebars and I could still make out how long I had been filming for. How much battery I had left on the remote, You can also access the settings and change them with the remote, I had looked at getting the gopro remote but I didn't want to pay the money they were asking for it, this does EXACTLY what the gopro remote does for a fraction of the price, its well made and waterproof and comes with accessories and a nice soft touch bag to keep all the bits in when not in use, I can highly recommend this item, from a seller who delivered it in super quick time, save yourself some money and try it, you won't be disappointed, this remote will work with any action camera that has WiFi, you can also operate more then one camera, I bought a rubber cover for it which helps protect it from any knocks.

Disappointing and a waste of money. Also since purchasing know someone who also bought one of these same model and also had same issue. Had I known, I wouldn't have purchased.

Does what it says on the tin. Only downside is its battery life.

This is identical to the GoPro item so not much point in telling you how it works. I will, however, endorse the fact that it does allow you to change all the settings on a Hero session that you can change on the camera itself, which I didn't think it would. Some reviewers have mentioned that this isn't possible but mine allows me to cycle through all of the video and photo modes and change the resolution, fps, looping, timelapse settings. Granted, the instructions are complete rubbish but if you use the same two button philosophy that the camera uses you won't go far wrong. Yes, the text is very small but so is the item so not much you can do about that.The only thing that didn't occur to me is that the wifi on the camera needs to be left turned on if you want the remote to wake up / turn on the camera. Obvious I guess but it does deplete the battery.......

It works well. But, I find it awkward to pair the gopro with my phone after. But, I managed eventually.

This remote is well made and works well if its the only device paired but once paired with the GoPro I could no longer connect the GoPro to my phone, I had to unpair the remote, reset the wireless connections and reconnect to phone to get it to work again. Unfortunately this means the remote isn't being used as I do prefer the connectivity to the phone. Not sure if its just like this for this remote, but its definitely very irritating not being able to connect my phone after pairing with the device.

The product is good and does everything you would expect. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because the set up instructions and sequence are not at all clear. I followed the instructions but they are not very clear, so you have to persevere with the set up. Take your time and don't give up - it is well worth it once done! My Hero Silver 4 connected on the 4th pairing attempt.

I have only given it a quick try so far but seems good, well packaged and seems well made I also bought the rubber case for it just to give it bit more protection. I liked the fact you also got a small bag to keep everything in. As already mentioned the only instructions with it are for a Hero 3 but following the instructions on the product page I was able to pair it with my Hero 4 session after two attempts. Give it a quick test changing modes then recorded a bit of video. should hopefully make it easier to use the camera. Not tried out the range yet but don't expect to have any problems.
