Saves money in the long run and more flexibility on paper type
Agree with other reviewers that this is well made and effective. It would be great for sure if it punched more than 2 pages at a time but, given a pack of Filofax refill dotted paper only contains 32 sheets, it doesn't actually take long to produce a pack's worth. Also filofax only does white dotted paper and I wanted cream so I prefer my own paper. A pack of 100gsm cream paper from Prestige is about about 2p per A5 page (I buy A4 and use a guillotine after printing on dots and templates). I also like creating my own templates so this is a no brainer as well as saving money.Agree that a guide would be useful, but I've found a little clip like in the picture does the job perfectly.

Works for me!
I recently bought a Filofax refillable spiral-bound notebook and as I found the paper was fountain pen friendly, I decided to look for refills. That is when I came across this holepunch and it occurred to me that I could use it to punch any paper so I could use papers that really showed the qualities of the inks in different ways and then keep them all together in one binder. (Which I will keep at home on my desk and not carry around, this system does not seem as robust as a ring binder in my opinion.)I could see that the reviews for this product were mixed, many were from people who had bought the wrong product, this is not for any of the ring binder systems, but the ones that complained about poor quality or failing to cut cleanly seemed to be for the black version of the punch. The listing I was looking at specified it was the newer grey version and it was on Amazon for a really low price so I thought I would buy one and if it didn't work then I could always send it back.It works perfectly and I am really pleased that I bought it.I am now wondering if I can find loose spirals which it will match so I can make my own journals up with my choice of papers.Another thing to be aware of is that the box clearly states that you can only punch 'up to 2 sheets of 100 gsm paper.'

Great way to personalise notebook
Have been able to add various items to my notebook using this hole punch. Gives you more options than just using pre punched paper

DO NOT BUY - POORLY BUILT
I like the notebook and concept of adding your own pages. Have used the Arc system and Filofax's version was more compact. The paperpunch though is very poor - does not punch holes all the time so you have tears. Does not line up properly. Poorly built at a high price and a Premium brand.Unfortunately I persevered with it until I gave up and missed the return date, I will ask Amazon nicely. But now its an expensive paperweight. Arc paperpunch is so much better, Filofax your brand for good quality for premium price has faded

Excellent quality
Well it does it’s job. It’s a sturdy bit of kit. Just a little disappointing that it doesn’t cope with more than a few pages at a time although I was aware of this when I purchased. It may be a little hard for some to push down on, but for the majority should be fine. I love the binders I purchased to go with it and the punch is essential for their use so wouldn’t be without it.

The best money ever spent
It amazes me how well Filofax Paper Punch is built. I was hesitant about my purchase while reading reviews at first. But did not disappoint me in any way:1. Extremely durable (made from metal);2. Works by 100%. Punches holes as stated on packaging (max 2 pages on one go);3. Makes perfect holes. This item is worth every cent. Will serve till the end.

Expensive but works well
Does the job. A tad expensive but allows the flexibility desired.
