So far so good - pretty good value and quality.
Made so far the following dishes to test its versatility. Lamb Meatballs; Chicken Makhani (Butter); Macaroni Cheese; Steak and Kidney stew with veg. It's very efficient. A little trial and error is needed with timing but there's lots of recipes and help on the web. The instruction book includes about 3 recipes none of which I fancy making so I think the makers could have pushed the boat out a bit more on that. I think this machine benefits from being made by the pioneers of slow cooking so it ought to be good. The controls are uncomplicated so less to go wrong. Good old fashioned rotary analogue dial - no annoying LED read-outs and electronics to get baked into failure inside. The crock inside is really good and holds heat like a farmhouse kitchen range (mustn't mention names but you know what I mean)! So far all that I've done have worked like a charm. Lovely cooker, light weight without the crock - heavy with it. Worth mentioning that the cable is very thick and stiff so it needs to be secured away from the insulation resting against the side of the cooker which gets mighty hot. So keep bare arms away from reaching behind it or you could get a bit of a burn. It's safe though and a nice piece of kit. I don't expect to do lots of cooking by this method but it's handy for leaving something simmering for hours if you have to be out for a time. This one is a good size - big enough for two - too big for one - too small for a large family so I'd say best for 2-3 people but would take enough for 4 without overloading the crock. Nice product - well impressed.

A kitchen staple
Crock-Pot has never failed me! This is a very sturdy little machine, I've had no trouble with it. It is quite small - works well for dinner for the two of us, or for some meal-prep. The red is quite good looking. If you've never had a slow-cooker, it will change your life. Stick dinner on before you leave the house and it will cook itself. Nothing sticks in the pan, or burns, it can only dry out if overcooked. It also has a warm settling to keep food at temperature while you serve and prevent spoiling. I've already made apple butter, fajitas, and a big batch of marinara to freeze. It's like having a personal chef.

Good overall
We like this crockpot but it definitely lacks of some stuff. First off, It's a pretty red colour and the black stone container is easily removed and cleaned and you can store the food in it in the fridge. It certainly cooks nice food and for the money it was worth it in my opinion but we had slightly higher hopes. What i mean by that, once you remove the black stone container it's not as easy to clean the inside of the crockpot and it stains if there's a spillage (see pictures). Also it only has only 2 temperature settings low/high but even on the high it takes a lot longer than expected to start cooking. So you need 6 hours of cooking minimum for nice soft meat and veggies. But it does the job and for the price i suppose you get what you pay.

Good product but too simple
I bought this to replace a Morphy Richard's one that a friend had given me. The Morphy Richards one was great because it had full temperature control so I could choose from 100 degree up to 220 degree depending on what I was cooking and how long I wanted it to cook for. The downside was that it wasnon-stick which I always avoid. So, I chose the Crockpot because of the ceramic pot and, despite days of searching, I couldn't find one with actual temperature controls. It's a great shape, ideal for two people plus leftovers, easy to clean and simple to use, but...... too simple to use. I put a venison stew on at 1.30 and I wanted to eat at 7. I started on high for half an hour, then turned to low. I checked after 2 hours and it hadn't even started to cook. So I set to high again. At 7.30 I got fed up with waiting and served the stew with slightly underdone veg. So now I know I'll have to either cut the veg really small or start the meal earlier. However, I don't want to be dictated to by a Crockpot! Can someone please make one with full temperature control!! As soon as I can find one I'll buy it.

Perfect for getting back to cooking from scratch, the easy way
I am loving my new slow cooker - I put it to use 10 minutes after it was delivered (Amazon Prime's same-day delivery service, at no extra cost in this case). My first attempt was a lentil and carrot soup and it was simply delicious. You have to be patient as it took 3 hours but the end result is definitely worth it.The manual comes with some recipes which I have not looked at yet, but I highly recommend the BBC Good Food website as it has a lot of yummy looking recipes to try, and in a lot of cases has specific instructions on how to adapt them for slow cooking. The next best thing, apart from the affordable price, is being able to wash the stoneware pot and lid in the dishwasher!

Excellent Buy
This is very much a "does what it says on the tin" product. Cooks, slowly, without fuss, without fumes. Just a gentle, appetite-whetting aroma escapes. The simple transparent lid works well, you don't have lift it to see what's going on beneath. It's easy to lift out the removable ceramic cooking vessel - and quite easy to clean it afterwards too. Generally a well-made and well-finished product. My first attempt, "Hearty Lamb Stew" was a great success, the first of many, we hope.
