Microscope
Wonderful for child growing up

Cheap & cheerful
A cheap & cheerful starter microscope. Image quality won't win any awards, but it's good enough to get an idea of what's going on. Cheap optics are always going to have their limitations, but this is good enough at a pinch, and if you're unsure how it will be received, then this is just fine. If a better microscope is needed, then you can always buy a 'real' one, and if it gets used a dozen times and forgotten, then you haven't spent a couple of hundred quid for nothing. Comes with pre-prepared slides, which is great for kids who want to use it immediately!

This is a great product. Very easy to use and gets great ...
This is a great product. Very easy to use and gets great results. We bought it for our 7 year old who is delighted and inspired by how much she can see with it. My only points to improve would be that are that there are not that many pre-prepared slides or sticky bits to make your own slides included.

Ok product, not the best
Ok product. Not the best quality lens. Daughter (8) enjoys playing with it but I can't see it lasting.

Plastic Rubbish - very hard to use
Bought this as a birthday present for our 8 year old but its almost impossible to use, the tuning required to get it to focus is almost impossible and requires a steady hand well beyond the capability of a child. The whole thing feels plastic and cheap and no where near the exciting science intro I was hoping for. Don't waste your money. I would have returned but I bought it 4 weeks before her birthday so the 30 day window had closed by the time we tried it. Awful disappointing product.

A great first microscope
A great first microscope. Bought for 7-year-old, who loved looking at the ready-made slides. Needs a bit of patience to control the zoom but ok once she got the idea.

Great for a first microscope 8-9 years old.
Great first microscope for kids ages around 8 years. Perhaps a few more blank slides and so.e extra stickers would have been nice but there are enough to get started.

REGALO A BIMBO

Great set to get kids interested in science!
Insight's Nancy B's Science Club® Microscope and Activity Journal is an absolutely wonderful product for kids! The microscope is of great quality and I love that it has a light both on top and on bottom. It works perfectly and does 30x, 100x, and 400x magnifications which is perfect for viewing even the tiniest of things. I also love that it comes with a few sample slides so you can begin using the microscope right out of the box. You can also use the blank slides to create your own slides which my son just loves to do. My son is finding new things to view every day and is really excited to use the activity journal to document everything. Nancy B's Science Club® Microscope and Activity Journal is just a great set to get your kids interested in science. I highly recommend it! It comes with everything you need to get started and it keeps your kids engaged for a long time to come!

Don't expect it to be like the profesdional ones
My 6 years old was asking for a microscop for a long time, so he got this one for his birthday. Don't expect it to be like the profesdional ones. Keep in mind:it's a toy and not a portable chemical lab. It's lightweight , easy to use and a good education " toy" for a starter. It has 4 prepared slides and a whole kit to make your own slide. It has focusing knobs and 3 types of magnificationas. I have to show my son at first how it all works, and he got it from the first time. He was very exited to see prepared slides. But the more excitement we got , when we prepared a slide with his own hair and an onion. " Mom, my hair looks like a pine tree".....Now he wants to see bacterias )))))). I don't know where to get it for him, but I will surche online how we can prepare simple ones. It also comes with an Activity Journal, but we didn't use it yet. I really recommend it as a present for a kid for any good occasion. It said + 8, but my son is 6 and he is mastering it now easily.
