I'm a light sleeper and it's never woke me. How often will depend on the weather, it will keep opening and closing to keep at 21 degrees. There is a setting on the mail controller that allow it to be a number of degrees off the required temp before activating which my help reduce that for you. **Q: Will these work with a steam heating system in the United States?** A: If they will fit the US thermostatic valves and the controller is the correct voltage and the steam is available at all times ...... it should work! **Q: Does this work with the Amazon Echo?** A: Not directly. You need to pair this to the Evohome controller. The Evohome controller is what connects to you boiler via the relay box. Then the Evohome controller connects to this TRV and controls it via a proprietary wireless signal. It’s not WIFI. The Evohome controller is wifi so you connect that to your home network and you will then have App control. Once you have that set up the Alexa integration can be set up. That will then give you the control you want. **Q: Do the radiator valves connect to the main house wifi, or do they use a proprietary wifi provided by the controller?** A: As stated they use a different frequency from wifi and do not have any interface to your network directly. Highly recommended! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ THE replacement thermostatic radiator valve *by T***R on 14 January 2015* An outstanding very well built and superbly designed piece of kit which really comes into its own when used with the EVOHOME controller set up to your boiler. Whilst not cheapest solution, the Honeywell EVOHOME system is certainly the most highly configurable, user friendly and effective multi zoned heating management solution on the market. If you can learn to close doors and really only heat the rooms you use - it's impossible not to be impressed with the efficacy of the system and the savings you'll ultimately make - should you open a window, it's smart enough to realise so and stop heating the area. If you have many radiators but actually only use a few at any one time you'll also notice that it achieves room heating more quickly because the heat only goes where it is needed.
