Andrew Lloyd Webber's first smash hit musical, Jesus Christ Superstar was written in collaboration with Tim Rice and released on Broadway in 1971. The musical featured a line-up up songs which have cemented their place in popular culture as some of the greatest stage songs ever written. This revised and updated songbook features 9 songs from Jesus Christ Superstar, with Lloyd Webber's ever popular tunes expertly arranged for Voice and Piano with chord symbols. Songs Include: Heaven On Their Minds Everything s Alright Hosanna Pilate s Dream I Don t Know How To Love Him The Last Supper Gethsemane ( I Only Want To Say) King Herod s Song Superstar Review: Razzle Dazzle or Plain Brown? - I just love listening to JSC and in the car too (really loud)! Ian Gillan's voice on the original recording is out of this world. Don't get me wrong I love Ted Neely too. I was too hasty purchasing this particular book and just looked at the images for the sheet music but didn't scroll down to check the product details. So this is the easy version consisting of 32 pages. ISBN-10: 0793520991 ISBN-13: 978-0793520992 The more satisfying arrangement for the more advanced contains 82 pages and the details are: ISBN-10: 088188541X ISBN-13: 978-0881885415 There is also yet another newer arrangement published consisting of 64 pages...the Razzle Dazzle. Details are: ISBN-10: 1780388039 ISBN-13: 978-1780388038 But whether these last two are the same arrangements I've no idea. It's just as confusing regarding the CD. Go for ASIN: B0083S3M9C for Gillan and the original cast. Enjoy! EDIT: I'm back after receiving all three sheet music books. It gets more confusing. However... In my opinion the one to go for, if you are not a beginner, is the ISBN-10: 088188541X ISBN-13: 978-0881885415 for the following reasons:- 1. What's the Buzz...Pilate & Christ...Could We Start Again Please? ( what a lovely sweet song this is) and John Nineteen: Forty One are omitted from the all colourful, check out the razzly dazzly blue starry cover on the updated Edition. 2. The layout on the 'boring' brown cover ...the one to go for, folks,82 pages remember, is much better and the pages stay flat when one turns the page. There is nothing more irritating when you turn the page and it decides that it doesn't want to or half returns so you have to be an contortionist to reads the music. I'm sure we have all been there. No problems with this edition. 3. Back to those ISBN numbers again. Here's another one...ready??? ISBN:9780711950146 This one and Razzle dazzle is on another Music-ians website. How much more -Room has one for all these editions? Perhaps you fancy the sing-a-long version which is...wait for it.....here it comes...ISBN:9781846097041 That wasn't too painful, was it? I won't be purchasing the last two. Well perhaps the sing-a-long sounds fun to do after a few glasses of red. Off to watch The Odessa File now. Who composed the music? Off topic now. One of my favourite short stories is Whispering Wind by the wonderful Mr Frederick Forsyth. Find it in The Veteran. Review: Worth buying! - Couldn’t wait to start singing and performing these songs.
