Fantastic pocket binoculars. Great quality from Nikon; really clear, bright field of view with little edge distortion. Solidly made yet reasonably lightweight; easy to adjust to personal preferences (depending on eyesight); comfortable & easy to use. Includes neck strap and tough, soft case; lens caps for eyepieces only (no idea why not for objectives). Also waterproof which is amazing at this price (haven't tested this and don't intend to but more confident with these if it's raining). Perfect for bird watching, etc.

For their price these are very good small and lightweight binoculars. Image is sharp and quite bright. Lens caps can’t be attached so there is a risk of losing them. I have larger and better binoculars but they are much heavier and bulkier, so I’m often deterred from carrying them which somewhat defeats the objective, but these Nikon Sportstar are no hassle.

I bought this as a present. As a keen birdwatcher I use high end binoculars and was hoping these would be good enough at the price and I was really surprised by their build quality and optical performance. No they don’t match up to my Swarovski bins but at the price I don’t think you could find better and they are more than adequate for the casual user.

Good optics ookfor the money, however sent back because eye relief cups kept moving back. They did not lock into position and kept moving, very annoying to me. In the end I Went for LeicaTrinovid.Cost more but quality is outstanding and should last for years.

After much on-line research to seek binoculars which would meet my specific requirements i.e. reasonable price, lightweight, easy to transport, 10 times magnification, quality lens and reputed manufacturer, I ordered these binoculars. Having used them for general use, bird watching, air display, observing sailing events, etc, I have found them absolutely what I required and easy to carry in a pocket or rucksack. The only drawback for me is that the lens covers are loose - not able to attach them to the strap, but that is very minor and does not detract from the enjoyment of using these binoculars. I thoroughly recommend them and to order via Amazon!

Superb clarity and magnification combined with being easy to use. These lighweight waterproof binoculars are value for money and a good "starter" pair which will see you through for the rest of your viewing needs.

I bought these to carry hiking as my larger ones are too heavy. These are ideal and fit into my jacket pocket comfortably and are lightweight. The lens caps are useless however. They simply fall off. I spoke to Nikon and this is the correct design. I was told they are designed like this for quick access !! On the first use I dropped the lens caps among rocks on the beach. I have solved the problem however by buying rubber 32mm caps from an on line store. These fit snuggly however they are not tethered. I could find any from the UK that are rubber 32mm and tethered.My problem is solved and I am now very happy with the binnoculars and can recommend them.
