Review: Excellent replacement - Great replacement. Connected to existing shower-head and fixtures. No leaking and good water pressure. The pipe is made of a flexible material which feels premium. Easy to look after and clean. Would highly recommend for the price it’s a perfect replacement. Review: Well priced, well made and a good length - One morning recently our existing shower hose recently decided that conveying water from the shower to the head was dull and instead decided to try and become a long balloon! While it succeeded in that and was probably very proud of its creative flair, I was less than impressed at the resulting trickle of a shower! So, time for a new hose, and quick sharp too! Step forward desertcart and their deliver by 10pm tonight option. This was on that list and having bought H&S stuff before I knew it should be fine. It was delivered within 10 hours of ordering and fitting is simple enough. Remove shower head - it should just unscrew without too much trouble - and drain water in the hose. Then just loosen the nut on the output of the shower end (adjustable spanner or plumbers pliers are perfect) and unscrew. Ensure the old washer is removed (it is a metal crush washer so throw it away) and refit with the new metal washer. Tighten up, but no need to get too tight. Finally refit shower head and use the black rubber washer here to form the seal. Test shower and tighten joints slightly if there are any leaks. Now normal power is resumed and I have a hose that is happy with its lot of being a hose! :) The hose itself is perfectly good quality. It is flexible, does not appear to want to kink and is long enough to make the rinse down of the area after cleaning, very easy. Oh and the shower hose should just fit and virtually all showers use the same size diameter for them. Thanks for reading and I hope you found the review useful. :) ## Features - Durable Universal Shower Cord: The H&S chrome shower hose replacement is made of robust stainless steel and is styled with a sleek chrome finish. The inner pipe is made of an odorless EPDM and tensile resistant material - Anti-Kink Design & No Leaks: It features an anti-kink design that prevents annoying water accumulation or premature wear and tear while ensuring a perfect balance of strength and flexibility for years with no leakage - Fits Perfectly & has Great Water Pressure: With a solid brass connector and 1/2" IPS, our replacement shower hose connections can fit most standard handheld showers. The hose also allows for strong water pressure - Lightweight & Ultra Flexible: The flexible shower hose has a length of 1.75m (69”), and weight of 250g. This generous length lets you move freely around the shower - Package Includes: It comes with 1 x mash washer & 1 x normal washer so that you can combine it with your favorite handheld, diverter, and bracket accessories to create a complete assembly ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01NBTJL36 | | Best Sellers Rank | 36,325 in DIY & Tools ( See Top 100 in DIY & Tools ) 68 in Shower Hoses | | Brand | H&S | | Colour | Chrome | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 12,967 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04262367021678 | | Included Components | Shower Hose | | Item Dimensions L x W | 175L x 1.3W centimetres | | Item Length | 69 Inches | | Item Type Name | Shower Hose | | Item Weight | 250 Grams | | Item weight | 250 Grams | | Manufacturer | H&S Alliance UK Ltd | | Maximum Pressure | 8 Bars | | Maximum pressure | 8 Bars | | Nominal Wall Thickness | 0.06 inches | | Nominal wall thickness | 0.06 inches | | Outside Diameter | 0.5 Inches | | Product dimensions | 175L x 1.3W centimetres | | UPC | 799475474330 | | Unit Count | 1.75 meter | ## Product Details - **Brand:** H&S - **Colour:** Chrome - **Item length:** 69 Inches - **Item weight:** 250 Grams - **Manufacturer:** H&S Alliance UK Ltd - **Maximum pressure:** 8 Bars - **Nominal wall thickness:** 0.06 inches - **Outside diameter:** 0.5 Inches - **Product dimensions:** 175L x 1.3W centimetres - **UPC:** 799475474330 ## Images ![H&S Replacement Shower Hose 1.75m (69") Stainless Steel Long Shower Hose for Bath Taps with 2 Washers - Universal Handheld Flexible Cord Chrome Finish - Anti Kink & High Flow - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61VRYW9MhDL.jpg) ![H&S Replacement Shower Hose 1.75m (69") Stainless Steel Long Shower Hose for Bath Taps with 2 Washers - Universal Handheld Flexible Cord Chrome Finish - Anti Kink & High Flow - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71zjZ8YKG6L.jpg) ![H&S Replacement Shower Hose 1.75m (69") Stainless Steel Long Shower Hose for Bath Taps with 2 Washers - Universal Handheld Flexible Cord Chrome Finish - Anti Kink & High Flow - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/7102I7KE9BL.jpg) ![H&S Replacement Shower Hose 1.75m (69") Stainless Steel Long Shower Hose for Bath Taps with 2 Washers - Universal Handheld Flexible Cord Chrome Finish - Anti Kink & High Flow - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81v0zz3LiBL.jpg) ![H&S Replacement Shower Hose 1.75m (69") Stainless Steel Long Shower Hose for Bath Taps with 2 Washers - Universal Handheld Flexible Cord Chrome Finish - Anti Kink & High Flow - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61QE1F2BQlL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Item Display Length** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: What is the diameter of the hose?** A: The diameter of the actual hose is 14mm and the thread is 20mm **Q: What are the threaded connector ends made of?** A: They aren't plastic anyway. Feels a good quality item! Sturdy fit. **Q: What size are the connector ends? My existing shower riser is 25mm at it's largest point, where the hose slots in to it.** A: They are 1/2” BSP, this is a standard size on virtually all showers and from your measurements it’ll fit without any problems **Q: Can someone pls tell me what a mash washer is, what it does and why you would choose it over a normal washer?** A: The mash (or 'crush') washer is a rubber compound which compresses to form a better seal than a standard washer - most shower hoses are fitted with mash washers with integral debris filters. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent replacement *by O***Z on 23 May 2026* Great replacement.
