The 9-pack is a better deal, otherwise the same. Tough and the heads don't break off. 10" length is perfect for my purposes to secure chicken wire to keep critters from digging into the crawlspace. Can pull up and reuse. Never had one break. Don't secure as well in loose soil, need to compact a bit first.

I purchased these stakes to help stake down my new Suncast Swivel Hose Hideaway with Smart Trak Hose Guide CPLSSM200B. That hose reel only comes with two stakes, but has four spots to stake down. These stakes are a perfect fit.

Do not work great in tough clay.

Not for use in hard or clay-type soil.
Cheap plastic stake. I've gone through two of them trying to hammer them into the hard clay soil of Texas. I even used a rubber mallet to hammer them and they just snapped in half.
