One corner of my pop-up camper was leaking in the rain. Removed the trim, scraped out the old butyl tape, cleaned the area really well with alcohol, and applied this tape, then screwed the trim back on. Worked great. Stopped the leak in its tracks before my roof started rotting. And the price is right.

I got tired of leaky third brake light and used this tape.. no more leaks and can never tell.

Used on my roof rack . No leaks for four months. Then I developed leaks inside the cab . When I removed the rack to reseal it the tape looked like it disintegrated under the heat.

Great Sealant tape works like its intended to do.

This tape, while seemingly good for sealing, and given the qualities of butyl tape overall, was slightly disappointing in that it attracts so much dust and dirt after application, that I fear that buildup will interfere with the sealing in the long term.I applied the tape as instructed on the box - including a period of putting the tape in the freezer to manage it better...which only lasted a few minutes, tops, before the application, but the application wasn't really hard to manage anyway, so the freezer step didn't prove necessary for me - perhaps if I were applying it in the summer, this would be beneficial. After I applied the butyl tape to the surface I wanted to seal, I used water on the tape to smooth out any bumps, which were negligible anyway, since the tape was easy to apply and did so smoothly right out of the box. The main problem is, again, that once the water dries, the tape is still sticky on the "outside", and has attracted lots of hair, dust and dirt.I plan on using this tape to seal other surfaces, but will use it judiciously because of the overall stickiness on the outer surface. I love the flexibility of the tape and how it conforms to surfaces, even when those surfaces are chilly, and where other tapes/sealers have failed. It's a very good, well-made product that is consistent, and handy. I would recommend it, even with the surface stickiness, because frankly, it might be better to have this tape be too sticky, than not sticky enough!

Put around RV entrance side door , was able to conform in the grooves. It's been a few months and still no rain or dirt coming in.

The roll without the box weighs 927.2g (32.7oz.) There is no odor.Measuring the thickness of anything this pliable is not the easiest task. Because of stretch and compress-ability I will be off , and not in the direction to favor the manufacturer. I get a measurement of 2.35mm thick. The listing claims 1/8” which is 3.175mm. That is a discrepancy of 26%. I suspect this is 15+% thinner than advertisedThe backing strips are pure white but the product itself is a touch on the gray side of off whiteThis stuff is great to have around any time you are going to do battle with water. I have used this against foundation walls to direct water onto plastic sheets and away from buildings. I have used this to seal around wires entering conduit. It’s also used for attaching plastic sheets to the inside of vehicle doors.
