You get what you pay for.
You get what you pay for. This will do the job as long as you bolt the tool to the bottom bracket. Simply take the screw that normally pulls the crank onto the taper, and use that to fasten the tool onto the bottom bracket. This is essential as the splines on these are so shallow you get very little purchase otherwise. Even using this method I found most of the splines on this tool were rounded and splitting after just one use. To be fair it was a pig of a stuck on ring and it did get it off....but I don't think it will work again. So for occasional use on well maintained bike your okay. If you are going to use a lot or are working on a rough bike buy a better one.

Cheap... but quality reflects this
it's a Silverline tool.... so knew what to expect.... the issue -The depth of the teeth on a bottom bracket are pretty shallow so they need to machined with oerfectly sqaure ends to stop this rounding of the socket or BB. The end of the teeth on this socket are slightly roundes making it very difficult on very tight bottom brackets. The socket could also do with a lip so that if using a 32mm deep socket it doesn't swallow it up. I only had a deep socket at home so ended up taping the sockets together to stop this happening. It did the job but I purchased a £15 Park tool for re assembly so this will end up in the bin.

Needs to fit the ratchet handle directly
This tool head is designed to fit inside a 32 socket so it can be used with 1/2 inch or 3.8 inch socket. But it needs a lot of toch to remove the bottom bracket retaining ring and there is too much play on the sockets when there is too little traction. I got the retaining ring out but it would have been miles easier if the tool fitted the ratchet handle directly and removed a lot of the play.

Perfect fit
Needed one of these to get the bottom bracket off my bike (Truativ PowerSpline, on an SRAM Eagle GX equipped bike). Fit the cups perfectly and had the bottom bracket loosened up with just a quarter turn with the tool and a wrench, then could spin it by hand to remove the cup completely. High quality feel to the tool and should last a good long while with what limited use it will get.

All fine, works for the most of us, quality as expected.
Tool is functional but (expectedly) not the best quality. The edges are partially rough, i.e. not sanded down and I doubt it is the most durable piece of equipment one can buy. Having said that, it fits and does the job. Suitable for the average commuter who will change their BB once every so often. If I had a bike shop I would purchase something better. All in all as expected. Am happy. Can recommend - even though I cannot give it more stars.

Surprisingly good quality and it actually fits!
So I bought two other of these crank extractor tools and the other two that I bought were the same size (stated to be 32mm) but they wouldn't fit my bottom bracket, However I bought this and when it arrived lo and behold it actually fits! In addition to it actually fitting it is also really high quality, used it multiple times not and the teeth definitely did not round and they seem to be very sturdy!

Does not fit ISIS bottom brackets
Does not fit ISIS bottom brackets. The internal diameter is only 23.9mm and ISIS requires at least 24mm to clear the axle - probably just poor manufacturing tolerances, so maybe some of them are ok.

Did the job. Could be longer.
Good price, did the job. Only minor is it could be linger to aid anchorage when needing to apply greater pressure. Happy to have purchased it though.
