BC Bicycle Company Brake and Derailleur Cable Cutter Cuts Both Cable and Housing

These are great cable cutters at a price that is reasonable. I don't know how these would hold up in a professional bike shop with constant use but I suspect they would serve just fine. They are well made and function well creating clean easy cuts to brake and shifter cables. If you're the type who likes to wrench on their own bike but dont want to break the bank on tools, these are a great solutuion.

...but these are good, good cutters. They make very neat work out of cutting stainless steel cables and cable housings, and I cannot help but think that they'd do an excellent job of cutting hydraulic brake lines and too-small rings. They'll cut guitar strings and piano wire....and they make nice smooth round cuts because they double-shear instead of nipping. If you're making cable housings for your bike, all you need is an icepick to complete your toolkit.

heavy and well made , does the job , But one reviewer wrote that these have a built in cable hole reamer , uh NO , absolutely not . That is why I deducted a star and because of that review is one reason I bought these . disappointed

These are the best quality cable cutters I have seen. I love that it has everything you need right on the tool. Make a good cut. Open up the hole in cable housing, Crimp on the ends.does it all. The metal hasnt fatigued and I have used it on about 10 cabling jobs thus far. LOVE this tool.

Only used for 1 shifter cable and housing project; cut housing smoothly like butter. Great product. Made in Taiwan per packaging.~20 wire projects later, still cuts like day 1.

These bike brake cable cutters snip right through that twisty steel cable like a hot knife through butta!

Occasional use these will be fine. Sturdy but, the design could be better. Cut clean for now.

I have used this a few times. It cuts the cable clean and works well.
