Excellent home security at very reasonable cost!
It is s simple idea to ensure home security, and it works brilliantly! Using a solar panel for power and our WiFi, it just does it’s thing effortlessly. We already had a Ring doorbell so we’re familiar with the concept but now have coverage of our vehicle gate - I now know if we’re being visited by unsavoury types, or whether I have 3 minutes to have my wife’s G&T ready - priceless!!

Great Camera - with great image and sound capabilities.
These cameras really enhance home security. We have 4 (one on each corner of the house) and the picture quality and sound is amazing. Well above the quality we were expecting, and better than anything ADT were looking to provide (also much cheaper than ADT).We have a fairly large house and the wifi in the garden is almost non-existent. However, the Ring devices attach fine (though they give warnings about low signal) where other devices have not managed to connect.Support from Ring is first class, having used it when I bought the Video Doorbell Pro. There is an additional (optional) charge of £25 (single camera) to £80 (unlimited cameras) per year to store all videos in the cloud and to keep full support - which I believe is very worthwhile.I can recommend these without any hesitation. If only Ring did smaller cameras for inside the house....

Ring cam
Set up relatively easy took a while to get used to it and slow response , but video record essential and have grown to love it and definitely feel more secure.

Wish it was better
This is the second camera I've had the first kept disconnecting from the router even though the signal strength was good, reconnecting every week and sometimes daily became a real pain. I have had to reconnect this unit twice since I've had it (couple of months) I will monitor the frequency, but at the moment it is performing better than the last unit.Once triggered the camera records about 2mins of footage which is enough for my needs, it can be a little slow on the uptake but my signal strength is only good I expect a better signal would improve reaction speed (well I hope it would). I do find ring products sensitive to poor weather, they operate far more efficiently in the warm, ideal for warmer climes not so great at handling the British weather. The battery seems to run down faster than the doorbell which is interesting considering it is triggered far less often, however it does not take long to recharge, mine is fixed so I do need to unscrew the unit to charge.Would I recommend, yes but only if you can accept the flaky connection issues and the length of triggered recording, if you want real security I wouldn't recommend, this is good for a little peace of mind and you need to pay an annual subscription per unit for cloud recording there is no option for SD card, without cloud recording these units become redundant after your free trial

Love this device
Love this camera and works great with the solar panel. However one thing is slightly annoying. It doens't seem to get a great signal from the wireless router which is (approx) 20 feet away, though this is through an external concrete wall. This hasn't effected connectivity as far as I can tell. The Ring DoorBell Pro does not have this problem. As long as you have signal to your Wifi router you can put this anywhere in your home when installed with the companion solar panel. No messy wires anywhere. I love this.

Very poor product for the money: ignore the marketing hype. Wish I could submit 0 stars!
I took 2 hours trying to get this device to work. The range is pityful: works fine if you want to monitor something 6 foot away! After installing this 10 ft away by my front door my partner strolled past it 3 ft away- NO alert! So I need a wifi extender!!! More cost. Also as soon as you install the app it starts reminding you to pay for your cloud storage. I was under the impression it was free storage when I purchased. Not impressed with this at all. It's going back. Not purchased on Amazon but I thought it fair to warn people.

Doesn’t like temperatures below -5.
I’ve had 2 now, first one was replaced. They seem to not last the winter. Only live in the U.K. but as soon as we get nights below -5 they go wrong, stop charging get moisture in the camera. There is a new one out so hopefully the new design solves the issues with this one.

Good so far.
Very good but I am trying it for thirty days before I sign up with them to see if it worth paying any more money.
