Brazilian Bikini Wax Complete Microwave Kit

I ordered this product about a month and a bit ago. based on a review i saw from a young girl on youtube. the picture on the website does not look like the same item. pacakaging perhaps has changed however this is the product i received - i have put the link on the official gigi site so u can see what it looks like- white and yellow. Brazilian Bikini Microwave Kit Item Number: #0911 [...] the product is the first proper home microwave Brizian Bikini wax kit i've ever bought. b4 this i've tried bikini wax strips and and creams etc even epilating. may i say- forget all about them. just get this kit! abt this kit. u get the wax- it's green and doenst smell bad. almost like coconut 1 cleansing thing to clean the area then a epilating oil u rub so the wax doesnt stick to your skin but the hair and trust me this is why it doent hurt! it really shocked me as to why it didnt hurt! it's amazing. with it u also get a wax off cream to remove any wax left on your skin- but cuz u use th oil it really doesnt stick to your skin so u really dont end up using it. the othre bottle is the slow grow cream, so that the hair doesnt grow back faster... i havent really used that cos i wanted to see how fast it grows back without. oh u alos get wooden spatulas small and big abt waxing u need to microwave it for abt 40 secs and then they say it should be fine, but it really is not ready.. make sure after the fisrt40 u try to give it a stir as it's hard at the top but coud have melted in the middle. anyways, wait another minute b4 u heat it up again. reason being if u let it microwave in one long go the wax becomes sticky and streachy like bubble gum once hard. and u cant really wax with it or pull as it just streaches. if u find the wax doing this let it cool a bit/harden a bit and then reheat in squences of 30 secs with a minute in between till it's like flowing caramel .. u only need a thin layer like a 2-3mm thickness spearead. and even really short hair comes off like 4-5mm! apply in the direction of hair growth and pull on the opposite as flat and close to the skin as possible and hold the skin taught. start wit the bikini line areas and work from down upwards as it's more sensitive closer to the top of your .... the secret there is to wax in smaller areas like a 1x0.5 inch of wax strip area or less the first time around. the second time round of waxing it was much less painful almost like waxing your arm. hardly felt. my hair is thick and so this really is the best wax ever! i've tried other brands but they were nothing like this. i love waxing with this. even gentle to do underarms- did mine in just one application and go! excellent no pain at all! and even did my upper lip! love this product. hope it helps u.. first time was a bit dareing secong time was easy. i aslo bought a after wax cooling gell from gigi. really good stops any rednss or bumps- i used it it to cool my tummy area after waxing.

I thought this before my holiday and it was brilliant! I read all of the reviews on here and thought let's give it a go! Everyone is different with different opinions. Yes it's hard to control the temp but all you have to do is reheat for another 30secs (depending on the strength of your microwave) just keep stirring with the sticks provided. There is no risk of burning on the skin as you are heating in 30 sec intervals. I'm sure anyone can tell if something is really really hot!! If you have overheated say, just keep stirring to cool slightly down to right temp for your skin Prep the area, ( for me it was the bikini) with the provided oils. I found them all to be really effective in the 'pain process' of waxing with hard wax. Make sure the hairs aren't too long as this makes the waxing even more painful! Start with small areas (makes it less painful and quick to pull off) spread with the spatula provided quite evenly against the direction of the hairs, leave to dry for about 30 secs? Or hard to touch and then lift a corner from the skin covered and yank it off!!! Yes it leaves a residue of wax on the skin but you are also provided with a cream to ensure it all comes off at the end so don't worry! Just keep going! Yes it makes a mess everywhere! So ensure your worktop is covered with an old cloth and the floor too with an old towel! Preferably a large one! Continue to work the whole area til done. If it starts to go a little hard in the pot just reheat. This is the best hard wax no strip required treatment I have ever used and I tell you it leaves no hairs behind! If there is just grab it with a tweezer. Seriously I was well impressed! Use the slow growth oil provided after each shower every night. I would recommend for sure! Thumbs up from me! Never ever again will I go to the waxing salon or use any high street products again....girls this is the one....

Brilliant - best bikini wax ever. I’ve always gone for salon waxes but my therapist was booked solid for weeks so thought I’d be brave and try a home kit. I was sceptical but it’s fab. Follow the tips on other reviews, the oil I think is an essential part of making this a much less painful experience than it might be. I’m a convert and will be using this from now on. I think the kit will just about do three bikini waxes so it’s way cheaper than going to a salon and much better. No redness or bumpiness either immediately after nor in the following days

found it not really worth using this product, it takes a lot longer than described to heat up, then fails to get a lot of the hairs out whilst waxing. the various lotions and potions are good though, and the whole set smells lovely

Doing your own bikini wax is never going to be the easiest way to spend your evening, but this product was very good. It got the hair out easily and once I'd got used to the consistency and the way of spreading with the spatulas, it worked well. It stays liquid for a long time and I only had to reheat once. The only major downside was how waxy your fingers get pulling the hard wax off, and then it gets sticky and awkward to continue, but that's just a small thing. If you've had waxing done before and you want to try your own, this seems to do the trick.

I bought this item after agreeing to go into the office wearing nothing but a mankini in day. After a dress rehearsal it was evident that some significant "tidying up" was required (ie - it looked like a heard of spiders was trying to escape from the pouch area of said mankini). My Girlfriend: being of the female persuasion, started with the usual taunts about men having a low pain threshold and how I would never be able to withstand childbirth let alone waxing etc etc (let's face it, any man who has been in a relationship has had to endure this conversation at some point) Anyway, one Sunday morning whilst my significant other was lying in bed, snoring like an asthmatic camel, I decided to prove her wrong! My girlfriend had mentioned the use of "hot wax" during one her visits to the beauty salon ( although the place sounds more like a torture chamber to me) and so this is where I started my search and before long I had decided on this product. Delivery was frighteningly quick and within 24 hours I was sat looking at a pot of pretty solid goo and contemplating the horror that lay before me. Naturally - it was not possible not possible to reach round and apply the stick gunk to my "rear cleavage" area and one again, my (rather sadistic) loved one leapt at the chance to get involved and within minutes had me sprawled on my back with legs in the air! Anyway, enough about me, let's talk about the experience - it really wasn't that painful (and this is from someone who never has and never will experience childbirth). It was also very effective and within no time at all my buttocks were so smooth and silky that I wouldn't have looked out of place on the front page of GQ magazine. On the downside - a few weeks after doing the job I did get very spotty and had to endure being bent over the stair banister whilst my over half administered first aid to the red angry blemishes! And finally, humiliation factor - the "H" factor is pretty high on this one and what made it worse in this case is that me and my girlfriend work in the same office..... I believe she lasted nearly 24 hours before telling ALL my work colleagues what she had done .... She was even telling everyone at a garden party 6 weeks later! My advice is this - if you want to give it a go, then feel free, just be careful who you choose as your assistant....

On the box, it says this is a 'complete microwave kit'. Other customers say it is a hard wax kit, which is what I want. However, once I'd opened the kit, the instructions are for a soft wax kit and state that I need epilating strips which are not included in the box - meaning it isn't a complete kit. Nothing else on the box says it is hard OR soft wax, but customers and this Amazon page are saying it is hard wax but the instructions say soft - no idea which to believe. As I need a hard wax and thought I was buying a complete kit, I'll need to return this.

Salon brazilian/hollywood waxes never lasted long for me. Random hairs here and there would start sprouting up after about 3 days but I would have to wait for 4 weeks before all hair grew back so I could wax again (for £30 a pop I wanted to get all of it waxed instead of just the initial patches). After being told that my fast growth was caused by my hormones not the quality of the waxing (I've been waxing for about 5 years now and tried several salons), I decided to try it at home so that I could potentially wax every week to keep it smooth. I'm so happy with this kit. I have only tried it once so far but it's been 4 days and no new hairs! MAGIC! Not sure if that's because this was better at pulling out follicles or because of the Slow Grow lotion. I would not recommend this for a brazilian/hollywood first timer because, let's face it, it's no walk in the park. As other users have mentioned, be careful with how you heat it up, I can see how it can be really dangerous. My microwave does not have a precise timer so I used my phone to time it. After 30s, it was only slightly warm on the bottom so I put it in for another 2 separate runs of 15s (1 minute in total), when it became just pliable enough to slightly poke it on the sides. Definitely read the instructions so you don't get hurt! I opted for overheating it a little bit (about 2 minutes in total in 15second increments) and then stirring to let it cool down (while I applied pre-hon and epilation oil which make the process much less unpleasant, just make sure to keep paper towels/toilet paper around so you can wipe hands in order to be able to stretch the skin taut). Make sure it's properly runny when you put it on because otherwise it can cool too fast. It turns SOLID and then instead of tearing off hair gradually, you have to tear it out in gigantic chunks which I found to be much more painful. Also, I found it to be easiest with hair that is between 1cm and 1.5cm long so trim a bit if you must. Being the first time, a brazilian took me 45minutes and I had to re-heat the wax once (microwave with the spatula in) but by the end I felt like a pro. I recommend this product, just be patient at the beginning.

To be fair,5 stars rating is belongs to the effectiveness itself. I am not please with the packing and some other experiences with this product. First of all, it got a huge melted hole on the wax while I open it. http://s27.postimg.org/4l8zde8sj/image.jpg Is that a used product? Or just simply because it accidentally melted during the transition? You decide. Second, it said don't pop in the microwave for more than a minute, but, I microwaved almost 2 mins to get it ready. Please be very careful, the surface might not look ready but it's boiling inside. Give it a good stir for every 30 seconds due to the setting of your microwave. Compare to the brand I used before, that one comes with a warmer but it took almost two hours to heat it up, so I prefer this for quick use. Also, please read through the instruction. Apply the oil come with the package before you wax. The wax sticks to ANYTHING. Especially your nails. Those little bottles run out quickly so you could use some baby oil instead. Forget about the" pre hon" it's just some alcohol to drys out your skin. Be aware of it if you have sensitive skin. I didn't use the others bottles so I am not going to comment on those. It's quite painful and the wax itself is quite soft compared to other brands. Let it cool completely and pull it as fast as you can to minimize the pain. Overall it's a very effective product. Get its job done really well and at least 90% of the hair is out in one attempt. It's cheap and it could last you quite a while. I hope it could keep improving.

I bought this in the heart of the pandemic when my salon was forced to close. Was so easy, didn't hurt, and such a great savings compared to the salon - so I'm going to keep DIY waxing!
