For the avoidance of doubt this wire is 2mm thick. The outer brass coating is nice and bright, like bright gold. It has an aluminium core that is silvery in appearance so if you cut it the ends look like silver. It's easy to bend, but not quite as ductile as pure brass so it will break if it's repeatedly flexed, but I didn't find that to be a problem with what I made. It's also soft enough to form with hand tools without too much trouble, but strong enough that it will be durable.I used it to make a Faberge egg (see pics) - I'm pleased with the results and I would buy this wire again. It's attractive and reasonably priced, and the 5 metre spool was plenty for my needs.

I used this as the fundamental structure of a floral arrangement….I used gerbera as the flowers and the black wire stood out well against them.I was surprised at how easy it was to cut, and I really liked the neat way it bent.

Good product would buy again

I love this product, I’m definitely going to buy some more or possibly a different colour. The wire bends so easily that you can just use your fingers but then it stays in its place very well. You could use it for anything. I bought it for my wedding in making my own obelisks for clematis to climb up. I’ve now decided to use it for lettering on the tables and the bridesmaids hangers as well. I might even do some writing with it to go on the wall in our house.
