I have a squeaky outdoor bench swing, where two metal hook/springs swing on hooks. Not much rust but v creaky. Is this product best?

I would say yes. It has multi uses. I guess so. I use on my padlocks for outside storage unit as in winter they can be difficult to open and removes rust. I have used on cladding makes it like new. Great value.

Does this product remove rust ?

No, not directly. However, using WD40 will help to keep rust at bay. Once a steel surface is rusted it requires'de-rusting' using scratch pads etc. The surface can then be protected.

Is it ok to use on hedge cutter/trimmer?

I have used it on the blades of mine to avoid rust but be careful to avoid the electrics, Also good for shears.

Does it lubricate Yale type locks

It will do the job and help dispel any rust in old locks. For newer clean locks, I prefer WD40 Specialist Silicone spray which also comes with a straw applicator.
