Works well and lasts a long time.
As long as you keep it sealed, it lasts a long time , and is a good value. Also very smooth and pliable, and does not need much kneading.

Very fine, smooth finish, easy to use.
Thought I would try my hand a some pottery. Had only ever messed around with clay as a kid - so virtually zero experience. I found it every easy to use, and was delighted with the results. I found I could get a really smooth finish.I tried pit firing a couple of pieces - one exploded, the other survived and the firing worked (the one that exploded was undoubtedly my fault, probably didn't get all the air out?).It keeps really well to - have had it for about 2 years now (I'm a very occasional potter), and it has stayed useable - just put a damp flannel over the opened end of the pack. Those who complain it's messy - well, it's clay - so yes it's messy! And yes it will start to crack if you leave it out for a couple of hours (without trying to keep it damp) - again I say - it's clay!!As it the first clay I have bought, I will try a few other type/brands but, I doubt I'll find anything better, and I would totally recommend it.

Very pleased.
I'm doing a lot of clay work lately and needed something that wasn't red clay, and that ideally wouldn't dry too quickly.I also needed the consistency of kiln clay rather than softer air dry clay, not in a huge bag, and that was firm but not too solid.Yes I'm fussy! This is brilliant and I'm really pleased with it.The size is good and it's affordable. It's also easy to just take a chunk off and repackage in an airtight bag. It's malleable, but not too soft, and holds a really good definition.Very pleased and I'll definitely be buying more when I need it.Happy to recommend. Thanks for reading, I hope you find this review helpful.

I've now bought this clay 4 times and very much like using it
I'm quite new to 'Pottery making' and I wanted to practice and make items at home so I looked for 'firing clay' and came across this one. I've now bought this clay 2 times and very much like using it.It's not as 'wet' as red clay and is I think much nicer to use.Sorry cannot say at what temperature it was fired because I made my items at home and then took them into my pottery class to be fired. It would be a really high temp as the classes items made with red clay would also be in the kiln.I coloured them with velvet underglaze before bisque firing and once they had been bisque fired they were ready to be glazed and all have turned out well.Nothing crumbled or melted in the kiln when being fired.Pictures attached are from my 'Learner Diary' and meant to show the colour of the drying clay, the adding of underglaze, then the finished items after being glazed.
