It's my Holy Grail skin care item and no other exfoliator compares for me. I've tried several other brands and also a few other St Ives' exfoliating products, but I always come back to this one. The product is thick and creamy and it feels like it's working AS you're using it. Plus it smells great.It isn't too harsh on the skin (despite that one ridiculous news report of that silly girl who temporarily gave herself sores because she absolutely scrubbed her face to death with a full tube of this and a flannel.) and the granules aren't sharp or rough. I wet my face and then apply firm pressure and scrub my face in little circles, focusing on my nose for those pesky blackheads.I use this product in either the bath or shower, since the hot water opens my pores and also because I don't trust myself not to get this in my fringe/hair. Once I start to rinse after scrubbing, I can already tell it's done it's magic, because my skin feels all tingly and smooth. When I'm all dried off after, I can see how the blackheads on my nose are vastly improved and the size of my pores is reduced with all the gunk out. My whole face feels lovely and soft and looks very glowy and clean.Applying your usual moisturiser afterwards feel great, because it feels like you have a blank canvas to start with and your skin just drinks it in.This and a decent moisturiser (I use Cetraben as I have very dry skin) seem to be the secret to my best skin. So I had a look to see if my favourite facial scrub from that time was still available and was thrilled to find it was. There are loads of variants now, and this 'Fresh' version has a definitely unexpected grapefruit scent, but the basic scrub seems broadly the same. Quite a lot of natural abrasive particles, with colour and texture as expected. I only use this a couple of times per week because it is quite abrasive. Works fantastically for me - leaving my skin feeling clear, clean, and soft without stripping it. No nasty micro plastics - just abrasion provided by apricot kernel pieces. Smoother skin after one scrub","reviewBody":"When I read some of the feedback, I was like 'yea right after first you notice a difference I don't think so' but with it having such positive reviews and was also recommended by my GP I wanted to give it a go and would of been happy after a week and notice a difference to my skin! But I totally noticed a difference after the first wash/scrub!!! I have slightly bumpy skin on my forehead from tiny blackheads and that reduced with the one wash. My adult acne is mainly around my jaw line and with waking up this morning my skin looks better already. Feels fresh and smooth. I did also buy the neutrogena oil free acne wash pink grapefruit and I think that's also helped. If totally honest I hate fruit smelling lotions and potions, don't like smelling of food lol but yes it has a strong fruit smell while washing (both scrud and wash) but after all rinsed I couldn't smell it as strongly. I then did my normal toner and moisturiser and even got my husband to smell my skin and he couldn't smell the fruit so I was even happier! Worth the buy even at 3 for £6 with prime will definitely be buying again and recommending to friends and family!
