I've since moved on from this one but have it as backup just incase. Still works today. 💪 Review: Great performance for a great price - First off, the compact box does not come with a CPU cooler. Inside the tiny box, there is only the CPU, the all-important sticker, and a manual of installation. If you are planning on buying a different cooling solution (my case came with an AIO), then this presentation is perfect. Brand new, it costs around the same as the few used models in Ebay located in North America. According to several reviewers, it is also just slightly worse than the 3600X so you are not losing much by going for the significantly cheaper model. I installed it on a B550M motherboard, and I had no issues so far. It is recognized by the BIOS as the advertised model. Granted, shipping was a bit strange, since it supposedly started in San Antonio, Texas, then appeared in Ohio three hours later. It was only delayed for two days from the original delivery date, so not much of a problem for me. In conclusion, if you are planning on using a separate cooling solution and you want to stay on AM4, it is a very good buy. ## Features - Offers the best variety of products - High quality - Great value ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0B4WLZ6Y4 | | Best Sellers Rank | #251 in Computer CPU Processors | | Brand | AMD | | CPU Manufacturer | AMD | | CPU Model | Ryzen 5 | | CPU Socket | Socket AM4 | | CPU Speed | 3.6, 4.2 GHz | | Cache Memory Installed Size | 32 MB | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 540 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00730143314350 | | Item Dimensions L x W | 10"L x 2"W | | Item Weight | 1.76 ounces | | Manufacturer | AMD | | Mfr Part Number | Ryzen 5 3600 | | Model Number | Ryzen 5 3600 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Platform | Windows | | Processor Brand | AMD | | Processor Core Count | 6 | | Processor Count | 6 | | Processor Number of Concurrent Threads | 12 | | Processor Series | Ryzen 5 | | Processor Socket | Socket AM4 | | Processor Speed | 3.6, 4.2 GHz | | Secondary Cache | 3 | | Software Update Supported to Date | unknown | | UPC | 730143314350 | | Wattage | 65 watts | ## Product Details - **Brand:** AMD - **CPU Manufacturer:** AMD - **CPU Model:** Ryzen 5 - **CPU Socket:** Socket AM4 - **CPU Speed:** 3.6, 4.2 GHz ## Images ![AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6GHz 6 Core AM4 Desktop Processor Boxed - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51TqutGHH9L.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is this just a version of the 3600 being sold without the stock cooler? Obviously this is better. Threw it in a GA AB350. Had to upgrade BIOS (which I should have done anyhow). No extra mess beyond that. Is it good for gaming? It will do the job. Strongly depends on the game as to how well it will do. Some games are not CPU dependent. I run mainly Tarkov. Which is CPU dependent. And this upgrade was a marked improvement on performance. I could play on the old chip. But load times were very slow. Now my load times are about 1/4 the time. That's huge for me. Would I recommend this? If this is what your budget allows, it will do the job you need it to. ## Frequently Bought Together - AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6GHz 6 Core AM4 Desktop Processor Boxed - AMD Wraith Stealth Socket AM4 4-Pin Connector CPU Cooler with Aluminum Heatsink & 3.93-Inch Fan (Slim) - ARCTIC MX-4 (4 g) - Premium Performance Thermal Paste for All Processors (CPU, GPU - PC), Very high Thermal Conductivity, Long Durability, Safe Application, Non-Conductive --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hu/products/479880404-amd-ryzen-5-3600-3-6ghz-6-core-am4-desktop](https://www.desertcart.hu/products/479880404-amd-ryzen-5-3600-3-6ghz-6-core-am4-desktop) --- *Product available on Desertcart Hungary* *Store origin: HU* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
