I bought this to replace the same model which I purchased in 2020. I use this everyday on my early morning dog walk. It gives a bright clean light which is controllable, along with a strobe function and red rear light. It is fully rechargeable and has lasted well over 5 years.

My existing head torch gave me two hours usage from fully charged for trim work when painting in dim ambient light the H3.2 has a lovely wide open zoom providing even illumination with adjustable beam intensity. It outshines my powerful cycle headlight making me realise quoted lumens is not always a good guide to true performance. The power source is three AAA batteries set in a plastic case to the rear of the headband. I’ll be using it with long lasting LION batteries after the provided alkaline ones give up. The battery case is sealed with a tough rubber enclosure to keep out the rain - there’s a rotating lever to change from bright to dim lighting. The LED and lens are enclosed in a robust alloy metal casing screw mounted onto the main body of the lamp. Engineering is premium compared to low cost head torches - the zoom mechanism is sweet, precise and easy to operate whilst in use. There is a straight forward on/off button on top of the LED casing - no dodgy multitasking press sequences. Close inspection of the lens reveals its precision manufacture - a great product at competitive price point.

I bought this to replace a 4 year old LED Lenser Head Fire torch, which has suffered a crack to the battery compartment. The H7.2 has a number of significant differences. First, the battery pack holds 4 AAA cells rather than 3, and is slightly larger and heavier as a result. Second, and particularly worrying given the heavier battery pack, the harness is only 2 straps around the sides of the head; my original had a third strap across the top of the head as well. The H7.2 has a soft neoprene backing on the lamp assembly, which is both comfortable and holds the head securely in place with no need for the third strap. The head itself is now focussable, being adjustable from a wide beam to a small spot with a turn of the head; it still pivots up and down easily, and is usefully smaller than the head on the old model, which did stick out quite a lot. The H7.2 also includes Lenser's microprocessor technology; it includes strobe modes, two power settings and a "boost" option for additional light, and a knob on the battery box which continuously adjusts brightness; a really useful feature. There is also a travel lock to prevent accidentally turning it on unintentionally, which works by holding the button down for five seconds. The only place this light loses out to the old one is in terms of accessories; the old model had a nice padded nylon belt pouch for storage; this one only has a small plastic clip on one strap to attach it to a D-ring or similar. I'm keeping the pouch from my old one, as the new lamp fits in it just fine. I really liked my old Lenser head torch, so needed a pretty much immediate replacement when it broke; I'm very pleased to see that the new one is even better in many ways. Like all Lenser products, it's expensive, but you get what you pay for. Recommended.

I've used plenty of head torches and hand held from the mini mags, good old million candle power (yeah right) including the copied ones produced by our good friends in Asia right up to a SAR lights sitting high up in the sky. The Lenser H7R.2 is up there with the best of them in the head light/torch field, the build quality is pretty darn good rugged yet light enough to wear on your head comfortably for hours at a time. Whether you use this for cycling, running or working on your car don't have any doubt that this Lenser will do the job just right. The brightness is extremely good in fact it's so bright the user manual makes it very clear that you should not shine it directly into the eyes (unless you spot a burglar and want to dazzle him!). The features on the lenser are very useful, from flood to spot with a 90 degree tilt and from low light to full on arc welding brightness with the turn of a dial or a press of a button. It can be reconfigured to strobe and bright or dim and bright by pressing and holding the rear dial for 5 seconds, along with this the rear dial glows red with one press or strobes with a second press. Charge time is 4-5 hours going by the book but top up charges are quicker, you also have the option of using AAA batteries in the event of losing power from the battery pack. All in all this Lenser is a great all rounder. A must have for people who either live in caves or cycle, run work with tools etc etc Oh yes I've seen a few comments about the head band not being big enough! Just how big are people's heads getting these days I wonder?

Premessa: la mia scelta è ricaduta sulla lampada frontale Led Lenser H14R.2 perché è uno dei migliori modelli di lampade frontali Led Lenser. La H14R è una lampada ricaricabile a prestazioni elevate: la potenza massima dichiarata è di 350 lumen per l’uso ordinario, con la possibilità di “boostare” (cioè di incrementare la potenza) a 850 lumen!!! Facile da accendere ed ergonomica, questa lampada ha una batteria che può essere sostituita in maniera abbastanza rapida per continuare le proprie attività senza perdite di tempo (eventuale batteria aggiuntiva va acquistata a parte). Con l'innovativo interruttore multifunzione è possibile gestire comodamente le 5 funzioni luminose (la cui attivazione è ben spiegata nel manuale in dotazione, in ITALIANO): la tecnologia Smart Light gestita da microcontroller offre vari programmi di luce con diverse funzioni, in modo che per ogni situazione sia disponibile la luce più appropriata. Dietro, sulla nuca, c’è un regolatore che funge anche da spia luminosa (rossa) di posizione, molto utile in quanto può funzionare anche a fascio luminoso spento. Ruotando verso sinistra o verso destra permette di variare la potenza della luce frontale (da 60 lumen a 350 lumen) e, nota da ricordare, tiene in memoria l’ultima potenza utilizzata in modo tale che non si debba ogni volta regolarla da capo. Inoltre quel regolatore permette anche di vedere lo stato della batteria (100 – 50 – 20 %) Io la utilizzo per andare a pescare e la tengo sempre alla massima potenza “ordinaria” che è di 350 lumen; molto spesso però ricorro al boost, più che altro per vedere bene tra gli strati dell’acqua o in mezzo ai canneti o ai cespugli. La lampada emette una luce abbagliante (non ha nulla da invidiare ai fari della mia macchina!) e permette una messa a fuoco a regolazione continua e orientabile; è possibile poi, semplicemente spingendo in dentro o tirando in fuori il blocco da cui esce la luce, allargare o restringere il fascio luminoso. In questo modo è possibile illuminare un’area più grande (quasi 180°, anche se l’intensità del fascio tende a perdere potenza sulle lunghissime distanze), oppure concentrare tutta la luce in un cono luminoso che illumina a giorno (e in questa maniera l’illuminazione è davvero impressionante anche a distanze notevoli). Come detto la torcia offre un flusso luminoso “di base” fino ad un massimo di 350 Lumen regolabile tramite un rotating switch, situato sul vano batterie; poi c’è la funzione boost con la quale, tenendo premuto per alcuni secondi l'interruttore principale, l'output luminoso sale fino a ben 850 lumen. IL BOOST E’ QUALCOSA DI FOTONICO! La torcia è focalizzabile secondo l'Advanced Focus System di Led Lenser fino a una profondità di campo di 300m (dichiarati, ma secondo me il dato è reale). La parte frontale è orientabile per agevolare la visione del terreno in prossimità. In confezione è presente una batteria ricaricabile Lì-Ion assieme ad una prolunga che permette di alimentare la torcia pur staccando il vano batterie dalla fascia per la testa (così si può aumentare di 1 m la distanza tra la torcia e la custodia batterie). Grazie al suo sistema di fissaggio intelligente è possibile staccare la lampada dalla fascia per la testa e fissarla alla cintura. L'H14.2 è dotata di proprie spie che indicano quando è necessario sostituire le batterie. Sempre in tema di risparmio energetico, la torcia presenta anche un blocco di sicurezza per il trasporto, per evitare che la torcia si accenda accidentalmente e scarichi la batteria L'H14.2... funzione utilissima perché la prima volta mi si era completamente scaricata in borsa  Per quanto riguarda le tempistiche, la casa madre dichiara una tenuta di circa 10 ore di luminosità... direi che le stime sono leggermente alte, soprattutto tenendo presente che se utilizziamo la funzione boost la lampada consuma parecchio per fornire una luminosità davvero incredibile! Direi che, utilizzando la lampada con funzione normale + parecchio boost dura al massimo dalle 8 ore complessive; tempo di ricarica della batteria 6-8 ore. Caratteristiche: 2 modalità di alimentazione (con ottimizzazione dell'autonomia, regolazione della corrente costante) 3 programmi di illuminazione (Easy, Professional, Defence) e 5 funzioni luminose (Boost, Power, Low Power, Dimm, Defence Strobe), il tutto è spiegato nella guida, molto dettagliata. Advanced Focus System (AFS), Tecnologia Smart Light (SLT) Interruttore fronte, interruttore e multifunzione sul vano batteria Il LED lampeggia in caso di capacità ridotta della batteria (utile!) La torcia e il vano batteria possono essere rimossi e indossati p. es. alla cintura o al casco Testa della lampada orientabile a 90°, fascia per la testa regolabile Custodia batterie con collegamento USB; può anche essere alimentata con batterie. Luce posteriore lampeggiante o continua. Indicatore di carica. Nella scatola: H14R.2 - Fascia per la testa - Batteria ricaricabile – Alimentatore - Cavi USB – Prolunga – Guida Concludendo: la Led Lenser H14R.2 è una lampada frontale di ottima qualità e ad alte prestazioni; a 125 € (l’ho comprata in sconto, grazie Amazon) è stato un affare e sono pienamente soddisfatto. bien,cependant tenir compte d'un défaut de conception sur ce produit, qui est que à chaque fois (c'est la deuxieme que j'ai une casse a ce niveau!, en effet ,c'est deja le troisieme article que je commande chez ledlenser, à cause de cela!), la pate en plastique qui referme le boitier casse avec temps (voir mon doigt sur la photo), la patte en plastique qui referme le boitier est trop fragile pour ce genre d'article
