Rub Away Abrasive Rubber Cleaning Block Really Useful Ideal For Scalextric and Model Train Track

Fantastic little bit of kit! Using it to clean the model train tracks after I've been using glue and ballast and its cleaned the lot and it hasn't disintegrated like others I've used. The packaging was a bit faded and looked like it was from the eighties, however, it was works wonders!! Bargain buy!!!

Good product, cleaned Scalextric track very well with a good few minutes spent working it in and cleaning off with a cloth. Will do the same with railway track as well..

Great for cleaning model railway track, electrical contacts etc. There are abrasive rubbers that cost way more than this and this works great. I have had mine for a year and it is showing no signs of wear. It is soft and flexible so very easy to use and get around contours. It does not wear away like harder rubbers, but mine has turned pretty much black with all the use it has had, however, it still cleans metal surfaces like new. I'm very impressed and would recommend especially for the price. There really is no point in spending more!

There are a lot of guides out there on how to clean your Scalextric/Ninco/SCX track. But this solution is by far the simplest. Apart from a little elbow grease and some patience, nothing else is really required. Years of grime came away relatively easily, including some rust. The results are spectacular, and the track runs much better. Cars that did not run for 40 years have sprung to life. Thoroughly recommended.

I wanted a product that can help get rid of tarnish from my dads old Scalextric set, with it being over 40 years old it got pretty bad. I was hesitant about buying unknown products but I took a chance and it is amazing! Literally does what it says and ill be sure to buy more in the future. Worth the money!

It works fine and does as per info. My only criticism is that the rubber and iron filings obviously need to be disposed of carefully so they don’t get into the food chain as per plastics!

The rubber is working well cleaning the scalextric track but it is a bit too soft for the application.

I’ve had both this product and a Peco rubber and the rubaway just does the job really nicely. I’ve had tons of scalextric track to clean and I find the rubaway to be a lot more effective and gives a better result. Already have two more on the way!!
