I disagree with the seller's answer above. This pencil case can absolutely hold more than 7-8 standard size pencils! I've got 16 pencils and pencil-sized pens in it right now and it's almost ¾ full. Plenty of room for lots of pencils!

Yes, it is kind of a reddish brown. It is a nice case and I use it daily.

How long is the bag...? I want something i can fit a ruler of 12.5in in....
