Such an excellent clipper set. Old school built with AC flex and sturdy body. Strong cutting mechanism to the point of they growl... Precision cut all over.I was in doubtful about purchasing this model but as it was late at night and I was tired of looking at so many choices I settled on these. The only time I've been grateful for fatigue; Great pair of clippers. I actually look forward to cutting my hair now so I can use them again.Highly recommended.

I have been cutting my hair my own hair on and off for the last 4 years, but I love this product so much that I am certain i will be using it consistency.I used to use Wahl clippers (Wahl Chrome Pro Deluxe and Wahl Elite Pro) in the past but I always felt it wasn't 100% powerful like the ones you'd find in a typical barber shop. A friend recommended me to look into Andis Clippers and I ended up settling for this one as it was moderately priced.After my first cut today, in my experience I can confidently say that this is a great product with many features that will enable it to last the test of times.Positives:-Not only is the cable long, but it is also robust and it has an extremely sturdy feel to it-Cuts very accurately without me having to go over the same spots over and over again- The switch does not have a nob. (I feel like this unorthodox design is a benefit as this is less likely to break)-Great price-Great colourNegatives:None

Unfortunately had to send back due to blades not being level and product making bad clanking noise whilst turned on. On plus side had a good weight and felt like quality product. Undecided whether to reorder

Just some background information: I have had these clippers for about 7-months and I trim my own hair once every 4-weeks and my beard once a week. Each hair trimming session lasting about 30-minutes+ and each beard trimming takes about 2 minutes. I used to go to the barbers before I took a chance at doing my own hair. Not entirely sure why this is relevant, but I suppose that anyone wanting to try and cut their own hair should perhaps try. Not only does it save me £7 every 4-weeks, but it also saves me a huge amount of time of not having to wait an hour in a queue (sometimes even 2) on top of a 20-minute drive! The amount I have saved since I have started cutting my own hair has paid for these clippers.The clippers are quite sharp. They go through hair with great ease without pulling or tugging on the actual hair, and the tapering function on these are brilliant. It allows me to shave the back and sides of my head to a grade-1, the top at a grade-2, and then seamlessly blend in-between by adjusting the lever. The tapering function also allows me to trim my beard to just below a grade-1.Ok, so why a 4-star and not a 5-star you may be asking...? Well, these clippers have been my number-1 tool since I started cutting my own hair, and I really do love them for all of the reasons above. I especially take great care of them by making sure they're cleaned and oiled before and after use and stored away in its retail box. However, recently there has been an issue with the on/off switch. During use, these clippers suddenly turn itself off, with the only way to have them start again is by either touching the switch or completely flicking it off and then on again, but then they'll suddenly turn off again. I have also noticed a slight warping of the red plastic and experienced one or two occasions where the unit has been slightly hot to the touch. I wouldn't describe it as burning hot, but it might be uncomfortable to hold for some after long periods of use. These issues could be due to nothing more than a faulty unit, so under the warranty I have requested a replacement. If I still experience this issue I will update this review accordingly.The other reason, albeit not a massive one, is the guards themselves. These are made of cheap plastic and as you may expect they're a bit flimsy and not of the best quality. Although they get the job done, I sometimes wish that these would be metal-backed or of a higher quality.So, in conclusion, these are a great set of clippers with brilliant functionality that won't break the bank. I'm left looking good and fresh after each use, even to the point where my wife has even referred to me as "handsome", which is quite an achievement for me :D

This is definitely not a lightweight product, it's a professional piece of kit. I got this for my partner to cut my hair at home. I'm paraplegic so I hate going to the barbers, I feel like I just get in the way and I have hearing loss so have to take my hearing aids out and the barbers still try to talk to me even though I can't hear them. So now my partner can cut my hair at home and after researching for hours and hours this is the one we went with and it's a success, brilliant product, really happy with it. Like others commented, it definitely gives you a fright when you switch it on! It's sure got some power to it! Top stuff! Can't recommend enough. (ignore my bald patches.. I've got alopecia on my temples)

These clippers are fab! You get a really good cut, even with thick wet hair. I’ve got hair like an old dog, and it didn’t falter. It’s got a very reassuring weight, and I love the click when you switch it on. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent clippers. Worth paying a bit more for these over cheaper alternatives.

Used on dog and only cuts through hair if only use blades and no comb. But cheap for Andis
