These are my favourite wellingtons ever!
These are my favourite wellingtons ever!Great colour. Great grip. Waterproof. Tough. For something so practical - that are nigh indestructible - for such little money these are great and I would get another pair in an instant. They are not fur lined... not posh... but they are great for slipping on to take the bins out at 7am. They are great for dashing down to the shed at the bottom of the garden when the rain is pouring and the mud is squelching. They are great for wading into rivers and deep puddles and keeping your feet dry - unless you wade in too deep of course. They are not so great when jumping into stagnant ditches... especially if the mud is deep - cos then the wide open tops will fill with stinking oozing mud and cold water... that's how my last pair nearly met their match... but simply upend... rinse with water and leave to dry and they come back to life in a jiffy. There is also a bit of a "Green Dunlop Wellies Appreciation Society" and a couple of parents at our school sometimes trudge to school in them. There is always an approving nod, as if someone else has discovered the ultimate wellington. So in summary, these beauties are great. You could spend ÂŁ250 on a fur lined, toggle top pair to match your Barbour Jacket (which is cool by the way)... but if do buy a fur lined pair, buy these too... they are great. I LOVE THEM!

1 yr on
Writing this review a year after purchase. These aren’t the thickest sole boots which make some stony ground uncomfortable but great value for money. One boot has just developed a hole after a year. They’ve lasted as long as other more expensive brands. They fit well, a little thin but that makes them flexible. 2 pairs of socks- fine for warmth. Twice a day walks in wet / muddy field tracks. Will buy again.

A great buy for the price, would advise buying a size bigger.
Came up small, i'm a size 9 so ordered a ten which fit well. Used them for several months now in the snow and mud. They are holding up well but as normal with wellingtons toes get very cold. A great buy for the price.

Boots
Worn once on horse muck heap. Bonus is narrow so avoids muck entering boot. Comfortable with no sock slippage. Quality looks good 👍

Good fit, comfortable, great price.
At first I thought the boots were a bit floppy and wouldn't stand up, but they do stand up, and are wearing in nicely, and are beginning to feel like my old ones ( also Dunlop, but more expensive ), which lasted over ten years and were worn every day. The tread is good in snow, and on ice, so it seems like the boots will be ok in the Highland conditions. They aren't " lightweight" like the Dunlop boots I had before my last pair, which I took up mountains, but they're not very heavy either.

Cheap and cheerful, and haven't let me down
I'm genuinely surprised how good these are considering how cheap they are. Both my other half and my mum have horses, so I'm constantly being roped into helping in the mud-covered fields. So, I wanted a pair of cheap and cheerful wellies, and these fitted the bill. The grips on the souls are very good, and there's a handy wee lip on the back of the heel for when you're using your other foot to hold the welly down as you're taking them off; seems a bit of a gimmick, but it's really handy. Had them for a couple of months now, and no leaks to report so far. Even if they start leaking tomorrow, for the price I'd still be pretty happy with them.

Very sturdy well made boots, comfortable to wear, easy to tuck trousers into, and stand up by themselves so you don't have to hold them upright to put them on. Also a very good price. Bought in a crisis in sudden snowfall and my boots were in another part of the country! Thanks to Amazon Prime I was able to walk outside the day after ordering. Found them in the DIY section, rather than clothing and footwear.
