As others have, I bought this to replace a series of glass cafetierres that I have broken over the years and am well pleased with the result.Being stainless steel and of a very simple design, with no nooks and crannies, it's much easier to keep clean that my glass ones were. The plunger and mesh filter fit well and do scrape a little when depressed but it's not annoying and the close fit ensures that the grounds are kept separate from teh coffee you are going to drink. Overall, it appears to be very well made, solid and of a pleasing weight in the handSome reviews of steel cafetierres have commented that the steel affects the taste of the coffee - I have not found this to be true in this case.It's also quite a nice thing and doesn't look bad sitting on the kitchen work surfaces.If you are thinking of changing from glass to steel, I would recommend trying this one. I have no regrets

I’m surprised I hadn’t bought a metal cafetière before. This double-walled cafetière keeps the coffee warm and fresh for much longer than any glass beaker type. And it doesn’t break!

Nicely made. Use it every day. It doesn’t keep coffee warm for as long as I’d hoped, though. Not clear if it can be put in the dishwasher.

I went for the stainless steel 1 litre model and am more than happy with this. While it is a bit of a fingerprint magnet, a quick wipe with an e-cloth soon makes it look like new.I am happy with the temperature maintained by this cafetière. 1 hour after the first cup is poured, the next cup is still piping hot.The plunger lid is shaped so that when turned one way, it will seal the pouring spout to maintain the temperature. Turned the other way, and you can pour. If I had one tiny criticism, it would be that a marking on the top to show Open/Closed would help. But by looking in to the pouring spout, you can see whether it is open or closed.This cafetière is a very good pourer with no spills or drips and I may well use it for those cooking jobs that need a liquid decanted from one container to another. Being stainless steel, it is easy to clean and will not retain odours of the contents.A bonus is that my model comes with a very strong clip/measuring spoon and three extra mesh filters for the inevitable time that a mesh filter will degrade. These filters are always a pain to order after they are needed and it is great that they are included.Very happy with this purchase

The cafetière is great! Was looking an ‘middle’ size as the small ones only really make one mug of coffee and the large are too big. This is perfect for 2 mugs of coffee with enough space to add milk. The all stainless steel design keeps the coffee warm for longer so my refill is still hot even an hour later. Plus is easy to clean. The plunger is solid and give a smooth movement with the filter holding all the ground with no seep through. The added replacement mesh filters are a bonus which is great. The scoop/clip is a nice addition although I prefer an airtight container and scales.All round a great cafetière for 1 or 2 people with some nice added extras. Definitely worth the price and I’m honestly considering the larger size as well for when I have guests.Would absolutely recommend.

Whilst visiting a friend a first used this caffetiere, which is excellent. The product comes with a very useful spoon with integrated clip, handy for sealing a bag of coffee. More durable than a glass caffetiere, this device is stylish and functional with spare filters, too.

I love the stylish design, only bought this for the thermal aspect. I wanted to keep my coffee hot for longer. In this respect it is disappointing. Unfortunately, it's no better than the glass Bodum cafetiere for keeping your coffee hot. Within half an hour of pouring my first cup I poured a second and had to put it in the microwave to warm it up. Looks good but defeats the purpose of me buying it.
