I, honestly, have not had an opportunity to use the stun gun or the pepper spray--maybe that's a good thing! And, unfortunately, none of my friends are willing to let me taze them for the sake of science... tch.The arc is bright, though, and really loud--kind of like a chain of fire crackers (not as loud, but similar), so it is intimidating, at the least.The built in flashlight on the stun gun is nice. I cannot say I haven't used it to find my lost keys under the sofa--use what you've got.The two downsides to the stun gun, at least, are the short charging cord (that has no storage pouch) and the mildly awkward safety/power switch. It works fine, but I think the location could be more intuitive. The power switch is 180 degrees opposite the discharge toggle, so you would inevitably need to hold it in a very loose grip and at a compromised angle to turn it on in an emergency. Having to fumble with that is my biggest concern. Placing an ambidextrous switch on the adjacent sides would fix the grip issue.The price is low, though, and that is appealing. I'll keep begging my friends to let me taze them until one of them caves.

I had to use the pepper spray And the stun gun when a case of road rage got out of hand. The pepper spray was a minor annoyance and the guy kept coming. The stun gun sparks caught his attention but he still advanced. The stun gun made him pause a little. Fortunately I had another option at my disposal that was more effective.

The pepper spray seems ok, Haven’t had to use it. The taser didn’t work, the electrodes weren’t lined up with each other so the electrical current wouldn’t flow, tried to replace it but there’s a no return policy on it. I thought that I was getting a good deal but when you get an item that doesn’t work and non returnable, it’s not such a good deal after all.

What you get: a pepper spray device, a sturdy key ring so you can turn the pepper spray into a keychain, a stun gun, a carry case (with belt loop) for the stun gun, and short charging cord.The stun gun has a flashlight capability that in theory you could use to blind an attacker by shining it into their eyes. The light is not that bright, but in total or near total darkness you definitely have trouble seeing if it's shined in your face. Not so effective in "medium" darkness or lighter.I didn't test the pepper spray, but I did try the zapper on the stun gun and it's intimidating. IMO the best use of this tool would be to zap that thing before the attacker got close enough for you to actually zap THEM. If they were rational they would stop for sure. If they were drugged out then all bets are off of course.Having protection like this adds peace of mind. I will keep these in my car or by my bed.

Very intimidating. If they keep coming after that noise, well then that is on them. This design is 1 of the first stun gun designs used by police and civilians alike. They absolutely hurt. Did I test it. Yes on small kids and rats LOL just kidding. A slight jolt from this thing tells you all you need to know, it absolutely hurts even for 1/2 a second. If your attacker gets close, jam it right in their chest like a knife and be turning it on at the same time, if you don't what they wear might not allow the shock thru, hence the sharp points on both poles of the taser. Me I would hit them right in the face with pepper spray then shock the crap out of them, as the pepper spray can shoot 10 feet. Never hesitate, not like he will remember you in the next 1/2 hour or more. 2 thumbs up. Old design that still works. Check your local laws, it may be illegal in some states.

Ideal with x2 daughters on own- out of state:X1 on college campus- walking everywhere and at times, alone. As a collegiate athlete she has early + late practices x5 days a wk- often she encounters dark going to/from. This presented need for extra safety.. and the set gave options!! Even flashlight to help light path..My other lives alone with career and her side hustle walking dogs who impose a diff. type threat of dog entanglement scenarios.. after this did occur-it was vital to have a defense measure! Also with coyotes in urban area.. and a few risky encounters- she felt it smart to have a plan B and this set was it!!!Whether living home or alone- if you find situation compromising.. this brings peace of mind. It is item you’ll most likely never use- but can aid in dire circumstances.. WHY NOT?!Taser has belt strap for easy carry- mine ran it thru a lanyard so, easy to get to but keeps user hands free. Big as a king sz. candybar- it’s lightweight and however transported.. if you charge all night- it’s ready when you are! Sound makes “zap” like a bug zapper! Sounds silly but can startler person/animal along with the surprise taser shock!! Easy to use if in close contact- has touch button trigger! From “air trying” Im sure it doesn’t feel good. What you need is noise or “diversion moment” to get free…Pepper spray can hook onto keys, etc- ergonomic fit to the hand + flap to protect an accidental spray. Rules are simple.. Use in close contact of face, eye, mouth area (preferably not down wind.) Case is solid to protect vial. Exp. date gives 2yr. till replace on ours- at $17 for the set I’m happy to buy for a backup to using smart decisions!! Hoping info can help you-stay safe everyone. (sorry so long winded)
