Mix the flour and fat and then add a little water. It does everything I wanted it to do to save me time in food prep, veg chopping, blending etc. My son uses it to mix his custom protein shakes and it performs very well. The only complaint which made this 4 star and not 5 is that it is very noisy. I don't have any others to compare it to but I'm sure there must be quieter models available but I suspect they would be more expensive.
