Trent Horn is one of the leading apologists out there and writes in a clear manner. Most of this book is "myth busting" but it's a great start for anyone looking to learn more about Catholic Theology

A great read for anyone who is already a practising catholic who wants to confirm their faith and be given simple apologetics to explain it to others, but also for anyone just interested in Catholicism who would like to know more. Horn summarises most of the main points of Catholic doctrine in a easy to read format, and provides biblical references for everything throughout. I am a "cradle catholic" who has a pretty good knowledge of my faith and the catechism and I learnt a huge amount. I especially found all the biblical references invaluable and have gone through and noted my bible accordingly!I have already passed the book on to two non catholic friends who I debate with regularly about religion, so that they can read about and understand the basics of Catholicism. Highly recommended.

I found this book helpful in getting a clearer picture of what it means to be a Catholic. Some Protestant caricatures are very unfair. Having said that, I am not going to convert but will have increased respect for my Catholic brothers and sisters.

Trent gives a gentle yet thorough summary of both what Catholics believe and WHY we believe these. He manages to avoid polemics and bases his arguments firmly in scripture and logic.While there are many other more detailed apologetics this one stands out for me as something I would have no hesitation recommending to someone challenging or questioning the Catholic church's teachings.

I'm a cradle Catholic who never really knew much about the religion until her 50's when she decided she needed to understand it better in order to help prepare others for the second coming. This book is truly beautiful. It makes sense of all of those weird and wonderful things that the Catholic church is full of.
