Great guided meditation
I've had the book/CD for years. I don't recall what's in the book at all, to be honest, because I've used it primarily for the CD which is a guided meditation/visualization. That said, the meditation is just terrific. In it, Dr Weiss guides the listener into a deep state of relaxation which is very soothing, very healing. The meditation/visualization is free from religious suggestion or implication. Therefore, a person of faith can easily incorporate this into their own tradition because the 'visualization' aspect allows you to envision yourself with another. That other, could, for a Christian, be Jesus or the holy spirit; For a Buddhist it could be Green Tara and so on... it's up to the listener. Likewise for a secular person, there need not be any religious suggestion whatsoever. Unlike some meditations/visualizations which tend to get a little new-agey, this one is generally free from a lot of the new-age hokum. The visualization is primarily on light and breathing. There are no chakras or little green elves, or whatever. So, it's a great meditation for all to use and enjoy.

Great little book & cd
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this small book as well as many other by Brian Weiss. This book according to many of the reviews is a beginner introduction into meditation and the CD at the back of the book was very helpful in learning the basic steps on meditation. The books was exactly as described, the shipping was received by the due date indicated and I would recommend and purchase from seller again.

Meditations - Relax and Enter a Different World
Ths is a combination CD and small book and I am enjoying them very much. I read the book frequently and play the CD almost every day. It is extremely relaxing, sometimes so relaxing that I fall asleep and it gets right into my subconscious (I hope)! Dr. Weiss has a very soft, pleasant voice and his information has been gained through more than 30 years of psychiatric practice: teaching and working with those needing therapy.

The basics of meditation
Great for a beginner mediator, awesome if you are a Dr. Weiss fan. Easy to read, takes the mystery out of meditation and makes it's easy for the beginner to start immediately. The CD is a little short, could be extended. A must buy for any and all Dr. Weiss fans. He brings true fascinating stories to life and gives meaning to questions many of us have or had.

Excellent Meditation
Both the book and the CD with the guided meditation are excellent. The meditation takes one literally out of the body into the universe. An incredible sensation even for one who has meditated during many years. Thank you Brian for your knowledge and wisdom. Delivery was rather slow though). I like the book but the CD was missing, someone had ripped it open and taken it out.

Not the best
I am not quite sure how to rate this item. Probably I expected too much out of this little book, based on the positive reviews posted here.I agree with the majority of the reviewers that the cd accompanying the book is a wonderfully guided meditation. However, the content of the book disappoints me a bit. Basically, it can be summed up in one sentence: "To meditate, just sit and close your eyes, focus on your breathing and relax". I was expecting a bit more, but maybe meditation just is that simple. For me it is just too simplistic. It includes some references to past life memories and meditation experiences of the author but I didn't find it very practical but rather too general.But then again, as I said earlier, it all depends where you come from, what your experience with spirituality and/or meditation is and what your expectations are.I was probably expecting too much from this small book. It's not bad, especially the cd is helpful, but don't expect too much. I guess there are better books on meditation out there.

Dr. Brian Weiss is my Hero
This book has saved me from sleepless nights and anxiety. I listen to it every day or night. When I wake up in the middle of the nite on goes the cd - and back to sleep I go. No need for Zanex when you can listen to Dr. Weiss. I have bought at least 20 books and given to friends. P.S. I recommend all of Dr. Brian's books. Dolly Emerson

Meditation by Dr, Brian Weiss, is an easy, uncomplicated method to learn. In this small delightful book he shows how to let go of stress, relax various areas of your body , and visualise your entire body relaxing , filled with healing light. You could also apply to Hay House for an audible version of his voice.

Amazing read
I quite enjoyed how the benefits of meditation got summarized into this short book mentioning both scientific and spiritual benefits of it. The audio download is amazing and totally relaxing.

Big things come in small packages
Merely believing that we are spiritual beings beyond the limits of time and space heals and soothes. Thank you Dr. Weiss for making us see ourselves from this perspective.This concise guided meditation book holds the key to a limitless expanse of bliss.

I would clearly recommend it
Any job I have read by Dr Weiss makes It useful and recomendable. In line with other books I believe this is a good one. For those on their path to spiritual awakening I believe this book is a must.
