This little b*stard may have been my greatest ever Amazon purchase! I took my GoPro on a stag do last weekend in Newquay. Not only did this casing survive the usual wear and tear that generally comes with any stag do, but I survived the open for 6 hours! I dropped my sodding GoPro whilst we werr out surfing and thought that it was gone for good. 6 hours later we searched the beach and actually found the little beauty in a rockpool! This casing had survived several hours of being battered against rocks by the sea! Very well made. Bravo! (We even took the photo after to prove how protected it was! Look how happy we look)

Great GoPro case used on several excursions dunked in muddy water for RC Car use and dropped in river! no signs of water ingress whatsoever, highly recommended! who needs the genuine product.

Ok, so I bought this for Airsoft, no intention at all of using it underwater. The front lense is tempered glass so I've cut a piece of lexan to fit over that as I suspect it would shatter with a BB hit. I drilled holes for the 3 mics on a GoPro Hero 5 black, and as a protective case for my purposes it seems to be great. In pretty sure it got hit multiple times last time I played and there's not a mark on it. I was warned off using my actual GoPro supersuit as it can shatter with BB strikes. I can't possibly comment on its intended purpose as, having drilled it there's absolutely no chance it has any watertight qualities whatsoever now, but for a cheap alternative to a supersuit (plus a £4 sheet of lexan to be extra safe) I can't knock it. I've now got a way to use my GoPro in Airsoft without fear of it getting shot to pieces. And if the case does get badly cracked it's replaceable at this price point.

I got this product mainly for diving 30 m under water. I took it with me to the Red Sea (Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt) and it did not disappoint. I tried it without the camera on my first dive and when I came out, there were no leaks. So on the second dive, I put the GoPro in and took some good pictures. It is much cheaper than the original one and almost same quality. I hope it persists through all my other dives. I am still getting used to the red filter that comes with it, but overall, I would recommend this product

Bought this case for my GoPro as I wanted to provide some protection to the camera whilst filming during airsoft games. Naturally, before taking it onto the field, we gave it a little test-run in our firing range (the garage). The GoPro was clipped into the case, mounted on a tripod and set in place to take a beating.First up, we used a gas blowback airsoft pistol from a distance of roughly 6 metres. A few rounds connected with various points of the case - this was then inspected and we found no marks, cracks or dents at all.Next, the airsoft sniper - the first couple of rounds were done from a good 100 metres. The inspection was made and again there were no marks, cracks or dents. So then we thought "why not just go for it?" and set the rig up just 30 metres away (the closest you are allowed to use the snipers to hit other players in most airsoft games). Three rounds connected, the case was inspected and the only sign of being hit was on the case covering where the camera lens is positioned, but this was just a mild scuff that mostly buffed out. Had that been an unprotected GoPro, that would have been somewhat more damaging!For the price I paid for this case, I was expecting it to take a few dings whilst doing its job, but this went far above and beyond what any of us were expecting! A definite recommendation for anyone who wants to use their GoPro in intense action-packed situations!

I bought this housing for my GoPro Hero 7 Black. Although the camera is waterproof, I wanted a case to prevent any scratches and any damage if dropped. This fits well and protected my camera throughout my trip. It's completely watertight and did not steam up whilst I was using it in and out of the water. It still allows for a clear picture - to my eye, there is no difference in the picture quality when compared to photos/videos taken without it.The only downside is that this doesn't support the touchscreen functionality so you cannot zoom in/out on the camera once closed, however you are still able to turn the camera on and off, take photos and switch between photo, video & time lapse mode.The housing comes with a small stand, thumbscrew & cleaning cloth and worked well with other (non-gopro official) accessories I have.

Looks like a very sturdy well built item that should do the job well, and a lot cheaper (and probably just as good) than an actual GoPro branded item. I would have given 5 stars instead of 2 but for receiving a "new item" with scratches on the body before I even come to use it.Amendment to original reviewI was contacted by the supplier and sent a replacement housing. I bought this as a backup for the GoPro housing I already had. In the event, the GoPro housing leaked, so I started using this instead. I've used it on around 30 dives this year (salt and fresh, several to 40m+) and it has proven totally reliable. It also has the added bonus that you don't have to remove the front of the GoPro to install it in the housing.
