I’ve been using the Barry M Nail Paint 3 in 1 for a while now and I’m really impressed with it. It’s clear and lightweight, so it goes on really smoothly without feeling thick or gloopy. I mainly use it as a base coat and it stops darker colours from staining my nails, which is a big plus. As a top coat it gives a nice glossy finish and helps my polish last longer without chipping, and when I wear it on its own my nails look neat and feel a bit stronger too. For the price, I think it’s such good value because you’re basically getting three products in one bottle. It does exactly what it promises and is just an easy, reliable varnish to have in your collection. Definitely one I’ll keep buying.

As a base coat it’s not that great at all, I used opi red nail varnish on top and once I removed it my nails were stained red so it didn’t protect my nails at all. Although, as a top coat it’s fabulous! Really makes your nails shine and feel stronger. So I’ve worn it for literally two weeks on top of the opi nail varnish - towards the end of the first week I had small chips at the tips of my nails so I just recovered those and thought I’d try get to the end of the second week to see how it was holding out as a top coat. More chips appeared but nowhere near as bad with just straight nail varnish. I did normal jobs such as washing the pots etc where your hands are in hot water so I’d say it held out 90% for the two weeks. I’ll definitely keep using it as a top coat as I love the strength and shine it gives my nails. But, as a base coat it didn’t really protect my nails

Quality product

I am a little frustrated that I could not have this delivered to a locker "due to one of its ingredients" and had to try timing a home delivery. I rarely wear nail varnish anymore due to vigorous hand washing at work but with the festive season approaching, I wanted something to help the decorations last. It does apply well but found when applying the top coat that the brush was absorbing some of the red colouring. It hasn't lasted any longer as I found a chip the next day. Doubt I would buy again.

Does a good job and yet still easy to remove

My nails break easily but I like to paint them so I need to look after them which is why I purchased this Barry M 3 in 1 basecoat, topcoat and hardener. It's much better value than buying three separate products. As you can see from the photos, if worn on it's own it gives a lovely natural shine to the nail (that was just one coat) I really like it worn by itself inbetween colours. One coat dries quickly and I could carry on with my normal activities within a few minutes. My nails do feel harder and less likely to break while I'm wearing it and it comes off easily with regular nail polish remover. When worn with a colour as a base coat it prevented my nails from staining as I do like to wear dark colours sometimes. As a top coat it provided a layer of protection for the colour, giving me an extra 2 days wear out of it and also provided a lovely shine to the colour. The application brush is wide and thin and makes applying the product easy and mess free. I'm really pleased with it and will purchase another when this one runs out.
