JF Maximum is the best insect repellent out there. The stuff without DEET is nowhere near as good. Don't believe the nonsense about it being dangerous, millions of military personnel have been using this for donkeys years with no ill effects. It's a little greasy but worth the small inconvenience for excellent results as a bug deterrent.The pump action bottle is great, I prefer it to the aerosol that can be quite wasteful.

Absolutely excellent product. Smells of citronella. But not overpowering. Its a game changer when hiking; no longer being eaten alive by half of the forest. Can't believe i left it this long to try it.

This does seem to work however I have only given 2 stars because the pump failed after the first use. I'm guessing that this is due to the fact that DEET degrades certain types of plastic and rubber. I think other users reported the same problem. Edit 07/07/26: I have increased to 4 stars because the pump hadn't degraded, it fell apart inside, probably after dropping the bottle. If you fish out the ball bearing and the long tube and insert the ball bearing back inside the tube before clicking the tube back on (it will fail to work if you don't click it on properly) then the pump works again. If you cant do this for some reason, the pump will still work with the bottle inverted.

Good stuff works but doesn’t keep them all away especially in South America

This Does what it Says on the Tin, and Cheaper than Trek50, excellent for use during the Night I use this on any Exposed Skin while Holidaying in EGYPT. IF it works there it will work Anywhere.

I was getting attacked by insects and this repellent worked well as a defence.It’s very good in my opinion.

My blood tastes delicious to mosquitoes, so I use Jungle Formula 4 to keep the nasty little critters away. It's very effective, probably due to the hideous stench when first applied. Top tip - apply it on the balcony, not in your hotel room, or you will be trapped in a room with a stink that will make you gag.What I like about this particular size of Jungle Formula is that it is only 90ml, which means you can take it in your hand luggage, because it's below the 100ml maximum liquids size for most airlines. That's helpful if you are saving money by only taking hand luggage, or if you are landing at night and want to prepare for the battle against mosquitoes before you leave the airport.Here's another top tip - if you are really pressed for space, buy the Jungle Formula 4 roll on rather than this. The roll on is only 50ml and the container is much smaller, so you will have space in your liquids bag for more stuff.By the way, this product is pump action rather than aerosol, so that's probably better for the environment than a regular spray.You probably shouldn't use this stuff on kids, cos it's really toxic and vile, but if you're an adult with irresistibly tasty blood, slather yourself in this stuff, and the mozzies will go and bite the nearest person wearing an inferior deterrent instead of you. (Hey, we've all got to eat!)
