Wasp nests
Does what it says on the box - have had a problem with wasps for years. There is a very large tree on the rail-line next to our house which for years has always housed wasps. They are horrible nasty ***** which have no purpose at all apart from stinging people . Horrible

Would be 5 stars if it was made more durable.........
Well, what to say about this then?I purchased this twin pack in April so I have had it 3 months or 12 weeks now. I first put the waspinators up with a balloon inside but the balloon soon deflated my wisdom of great ideas didn't work. I then filled the waspinators with old carrier bags and these filled out the shape nicely and are light too.OWhen closing the waspinator with the drawstring the little plastic spring loaded clip that keeps the bag closed at the bottom broke on both of them so they ended up tied and the loose string just pushed up inside nicely.I hung them both on the back of the house. One by where I have had wasps nests in the past on my eaves and the other lower down by my back door. Both waspinators located under the eaves of the house nicely. Whether I am imagining it or not I don't know but by now I would usually have had a flurry of wasps flying round my house looking for their nest. That hasn't happened so far. Yes, I have had one or two wasps but no where near the amount I normally would have had so I have to say yes, I think these waspinators DO WORK!!As I have mentioned I have had the waspinators approximately 12 weeks. There is a reason for me saying that. One waspinator has now fallen down and the other is not far off doing the same. Why is this? Well, the loops on the top of the waspinator have both ripped where they are adjoined to the body. Not really that impressed with the quality if I am honest. Would I buy them again? Yes, but I am holding off on that for the moment until the second one decides to give up on me as well.I do believe that the product should be a bit more durable that lasting just 3 months. Its not like the waspinators are just blowing about in the wind either. They are/were protected from above, fixed at the top loop and I had secured the base too so they stayed still.Pro's - Yes I do think they work as a good deterrent for the waspsCons - Not very durable at all. Won't last long before you need to purchase again.I would have given the waspinator 5 stars for the deterring factor but the build quality lets it down considerably.

In Theory It Work
This is rather a tough call to make. Essentially this is like proving a negative - you can't do it. Just because something has not happened does not mean it cannot. However, I did read up about the theory of how it works and there is some science about it, although perhaps stretched a little far by the manufacturers. The reason I bought this is because my house is surrounded by trees and every year I seem to get at least four or five wasp nests in my eves. Because of that inevitably I have a lot of wasps around the patio area which is a real pain sometimes. And of course literally once in a while.Whilst I deal with the wasp nests that end up in my house there are many more in the trees which firstly would be impossible to deal with and secondly despite wasps being a nuisance I do know they play a role in nature and help keep other pests down. Therefore I don't use some of the chemical warfare sprays you can use outside. So I bought a couple of these which were cheaper through Amazon 3rd party than direct from the maker and tried them out. And here's the rub. Whilst I think the level of wasps is lower it's a bit hard to really tell. Overall I think that the area around my patio table is less of an issue and that's to the good. However it might just be that the local wasps have decided there is a better place to plague for a while. On a more practical note, what you are actually buying is a grey bag that has a slight pattern on it that is supposed to replicate the look of a wasp nest. You then go and find a suitable packing for it which ideally should be free given that these are a little expensive for what they are. I used old bubble wrap. To be honest when I said a little expensive I should say, a lot expensive, because these probably cost all of 20p to make each.In the end I guess one has to try everything to ensure a wasp free BBQ sometimes and if you can get these cheaply then worth a shot. If you can't get them at a good discount then don't buy them because they certainly are not worth what the manufacturers want to charge.

Keeps wasps away from bees
I know its not scientific but I've put these up the last 2 years and have has absolutely no issue with wasps bothering my bee hives. And local beekeepers to my area have had a terrible time.So I think they work!

Don’t use them too close together
They really seem to work, going to buy more for someone that gets a few nests every year to really put these to the test

It Works!
I had a major wasp problem in my back garden (near my back doors on the house to be precise). There was no nest near me, but I think they were coming from a neighbouring house/garden and used my garden like a highway. So I put two of these fake nests up, and it did work! I think I saw 1 or 2 over a month or so, but that was much better than 1-2 every half hour for sure! My only issue is ease of use. I had to stuff mine with plastic recycling bags to try and recreate some form of shape, and the shape would not hold for long. Despite this, I do recommend this item if you are having wasp problems.
