Does the job just fine. Little difference between this and the i7.
Yet to put it through its paces, but so far it's running great.Paired with a Gigabyte GA-Z270M-D3H M-ATX 1151 7th Gen DDR4.I have an i7 in my laptop and can't really tell the difference.Edit: Put it through its paces when I first hooked up the PC, transferring hundreds of thousands of files from multiple hard drives, discs, cards, etc at the same time whilst listening to music on there. Still worked fast with no glitches or pauses apart from when I tried surfing the web as well as all this running in the background just to see where it struggles; that's when it came to slower crawling speeds, so I exited the web and it resumed to its normal speedy transfer rates.A bit slower on a start up, but I think this is because all those files are on the same 7200rpm hard drive as the OS. I can't afford an SSD just yet, but when I can, I'll put the OS on there.

Great CPU for the price
Great CPU for the price, paired with my 1050Ti it gets 300+ fps with csgo, and over 60fps on most games at 1080p. Most of the time it is above 3.4Ghz with the boost clock, and it stays very cool. The stock fan is great, runs completely silent and keeps it below 30C when idle and usually around 40C in use, which is very good.My only problem with this is that it comes in the box upside down, so when you open it make sure the intel text is the facing down otherwise it may fall out like mine. Also, be careful when handling the fan, I stupidly put my finger on the thermal paste when I first grabbed it. It wasn't hard to wash out and it doesn't seem to be affecting the cooling at all, but I'm probably going to have to reapply it sooner than others.

Buy an after market cooler.
Good processor, definitely buy an after market CPU cooler though. Performance is ok, and great for normal tasks, but there are more suitable CPU's for gaming and intensive workloads such as higher end i5's, AMD Ryzen 5 2600 and i7's.

Excellent Value for Money
Obviously it's not a new top of the range CPU, but the i5-7500 is excellent for building/upgrading PCs on a budget, or if you have an older PC - especially if you have a motherboard based on an Intel 100 series chipset (your only other options would be a compatible K-series processor which doesn't come with a heatsink, or a much more expensive i7).I recently got around to upgrading my relatively old PC, and replaced an i3-7100 with this. Naturally, the performance was much better, given the fact that I doubled the number of cores and size of the L1, L2 and L3 caches. If you want to see how this will perform compared to your current CPU, I'd advise using a website such as userbenchmark or versus.com, as they provide side-by-side comparisons, allowing you to easily distinguish which one is better.

Good product
I ordered based on my motherboard , i can see my pc goes quicker and it was just plug and play for the old one g4400. It comes with extra fan but not paste so you have to buy it, extra 4 quid. Overall good product for the correct price

Five stars
So I bought this processor recently, and I have to say that this processor is a beast! I also have a 1050Ti and I get 300fps in CSGO on high graphics, 1080p, and even 250fps on nuke! This cpu also comes with a stock fan, which even has some thermal paste pre-applied. The installation process was really simple. I had no trouble even though this was my first build ever. The only problem was that the cpu fan started making a weird noise on the second day, but I contacted MemoCow and they quickly issued me a refund for the cost of the fan. I didn't even have to send them the old one back.

Works just like it's supposed to
Works just like it's supposed to. Do however keep in mind, that your motherboard not only has to have the right socket for it, but it's bios also has to be updated for kabylake. I myself did not have a skylake processor, and my mother board was on the cheap end so I did not have the possibility to update the bios myself, however some tech-shops can do it for you, for pretty cheap. With higher end motherboards this shouldn't be a problem since you can just plug in an USB and upgrade it that way.All in all - the processsor works really well, and I use it for gaming, and it doesn't really seem to bottleneck my 1060 6gb. really happy with my purchase.

Arrived incomplete.
They sent me the incomplete product and when they sent me the missing part they found one of very low quality.
